This is just an FYI that worked! Who fucking knew.
Starting this year, I'd get weird green pixelly dots on my laptop (only a year or two old) and sometimes going to different sites there would be a split second black out of my screen.
Reading sites, people say it can be anything from a failing gpu, motherboard issue, something wrong with the connection internally between wires and screen, driver updates etc.....
- I did a bunch of tests and showed nothing wrong
- I tried to update drivers..... nothing to update. Already updated
- As usual, someone says turn off hardware acceleration. Nothing to turn off, already off
So here I am thinking I'm screwed, out of warranty and eventually this green dot shit will bomb my laptop.
I check more sites and some people say get rid of some Google Chrome Extensions. It might be an issue if there was an update and that extension isn't working right.
I deleted a few extensions that involved video downloading (I forget which ones as I still have one installed).
BINGO. It fucking worked!?!?! The second I did that, all issues disappeared!
