The SI engine is free-basically, the "classic" engine that the game first shipped on was phased out. Since all Camelot expansions are optional, they had to provide a download for the SI client, which is a different exe than the original classic client.

Cool that they include SI in its entirety. Makes sense, too-SI is great and even after Catacombs there will be places worth going in those zones.

The new classes look crazy weird, though. The Bainshee sounds like fun though.

Ok, looks like the overlands are the same, but all the enemies of course look better. The dungeons however have received a make over. Remember that boring ol tomb? Cobwebs have been added, real blowing in the wind kind, better lighting and omg the textures.

Spells are the same, animations are largely the same but look better on some mobs because the models are just that much nicerr. Armor is nicer, weapons are nicer, almost every character/npc model is upgraded.

So far so good, but the sylvans got the ugly stick

Oh well, im sorta just sticking to my valewalker on bevedere and going rune master and savage on merlin.

My Runemaster kicked much, much ass. That was one of the best classes I ever played.

I borrowed a friend's dwarf savage back in the heyday before they nerfed them, when the hand to hand quad hit rate was above 10% and they still had their interrupt shout and full determination/cheap purge/IP. Best character I ever touched for damage output. Simply amazing character.

Just got a Frostalf Valkyrie up to level five. The instance dungeons sure net you levels and money quick -- the goblin cave right outside Mularn usually has enough blue cannon fodder to net you a level every time you talk to the taskmaster. Nice.
