I just bought a new Nike baseball glove at Sports Authority. I want to start playing some catch again with a league baseball... plus my wife has a glove, I am sure my daughter and son/daughter (due in July) will play catch...

My college glove shredded and dried up a few years ago... so it was time for a new one.

I was checking all the brands for lefties (glove on right hand) and the selection is SMALL... so I like this Nike 13.00 inch glove... Rawlings/Eastons just didn't feel right or have the pocket I like.

Anyways... what is funny... the glove does not exist...

The model number is KDR 1308 and it is a leftie glove (once again, sits on right hand) and it displays Keystone II Diamond Ready Fielding Glove...

I cannot find this glove anywhere on the internet, it does not exist... WEIRD...

That reminds me. I have to get my favorite glove restitched before the new season starts (May 6th). I've been using my horrible replacement glove and it makes me feel like a 12 year old there. It looks so plasticky.

do they still sell that stuff you put on your glove and then bake it in the oven to break it in? I always thought that was crazy, but I knew a guy who used to swear by it. I always just did the laborious leather treatment and putting a ball inside it while flexing it for like a month before a glove was ready.

They did have that cook in oven spray... but I went with the old grease and rubber-band option...

I just greased it up at work and rubber-banded it up... That spray can was $7.99 and the grease was only $3.99... I went cheap and long-road it looks like...

Oh well... in a few weeks I will buy the spray can to heat in the oven...

In Illionois... we don't use gloves in our softball leagues. We only wear them in national tournies... bare hands baby!
