Just how much stuff there will be to do in GTA6? Map size will probably be huge too...

Gonna be honest, often I like when things are insanely, unnecessarily big with lots of empty space for doing nothing, but...

But THAT FREEDOM, driving through massive open world, exploring it, getting to know weirdos, doing side missions between the main ones, messing around, options, etc.

And...

And simply experience just how alive the world will be, I can't wait.

Damn it, I may even buy PS5 Pro just for this, and GTA6 isn't even Metal Gear, and Metal Gear is something sacred for me.

Don't really care about the size, but bar none I'm expecting the most alive and interactive gaming world ever. Nothing should even be close

If RDR2 is any indication I imagine there will be lots of unique random encounters that can turn into great side quests as well as a lot of companion quests. They know characters and story are far more important than having to collect a million things or have stupid minigames spread throughout the map.

What's the point of creating another game if it doesn't meaningfully surpass its predecessor?

I see Red Dead Redemption 2 as the gold standard, a foundation to build on. It makes sense to view it as a foundation for what Rockstar is capable of.

With that in mind, I have a strong feeling Grand Theft Auto VI is going to shatter expectations and redefine the benchmark. At this point, it has to. Given the time, resources, and anticipation, anything less would feel like a missed opportunity.

I just hope there will be some sidecontent. I would love to pick up cars for a garage and bring them back.
I've buried the idea of having a skateboard in the game.

Arma Reforger got official mod support today after Sony approved it. There's no way Sony would stop GTA VI having it. Would R* prevent?
You literally claimed GTA would have mod support on PS5. Still waiting for a source on that one, champ

Rockstar historically had a very tight grip on modding, especially with the rise of GTA Online and its monetization

Even if Sony is more open to mods now (which is great), Rockstar themselves have shown no indication they'll support official modding tools, especially for a game as tightly monetized and controlled as GTA VI likely will be.

It's a discussion forum not the court of law you absolute melon.

Maybe R* will keep a tight grip but they bought 2 of the biggest modding organisations so they could well approve those.

Stop embarrassing yourself with baseless nonsense. You're making bold claims with zero proof. If you're gonna talk big, back it up

It's insane how you just throw out "GTA will have mod support on PS5" like it's fact, then act like anyone asking for proof is some kind of criminal. This isn't a court of law? No, it's a forum where people expect at least some evidence before swallowing wild claims. So don't come at me calling me a melon when you can't even back up your own nonsense.

So, where's your source? Or are you just guessing without any proof?

You asked for proof I replied that I clearly don't have a source and it's my opinion and you went full judge Judy.

Lol. Don't rewrite the conversation. You didn't clearly say you made it the fuck up. This is the first time you said it

If you had just said "I think it might," this wouldn't even be a discussion. But you made a bold statement and got called out when you couldn't back it up. That's on you, not me playing "Judge Judy."

And let's be clear: saying "GTA will have mod support on PS5" isn't an opinion, it's a claim about a future feature

Court's adjourned, champ

You've now been upgraded to water melon.

You asked for a source I gave you this.

"Arma Reforger got official mod support today after Sony approved it. There's no way Sony would stop GTA VI having it. Would R* prevent?"

Anyone with a brain would read this and know I don't have a source and by me asking you would R* prevent it is a way of saying I don't know hence the question.

I don't like the cut of your jib. One more strike you'll be upgraded to salty soy boy melon.

Everything you could do in GTA V but expanded, refined and more.

So to name a few

- Sports (Tennis, Golf, Motocross, Biking, Triathlon, Racing of ALL kinds and maybe Basketball and Football)
- Games (Poker, Darts, Billards, Bowling, Casino Gambling etc)
- Stunt Driving/Flying etc.
- Scubadiving
- Skydiving/Base Jumping
- Working out
- Cage fighting
- Kayaking
- Hunting/Fishing (Lake/River/Ocean/Deep-sea)
- Bounty Hunting
- Treasure Hunting (including undersea)
- Clubbing (night/dance and gentlemens)
- Side jobs (Taxi/Uber, Ambulance, Delivery/Trucking, etc)
- Passive time sinks ( Movie Theaters/TV watching/Internet browsing/console and arcade gaming etc)

And probably a few more activities we've never seen before

Saying "Arma Reforger got official mod support today after Sony approved it. There's no way Sony would stop GTA VI having it" is not the same as saying "I don't have a source and I made it the fuck up"

Now you're trying to cover it with jokes and name-calling.

When the argument runs out, the memes come out.

Keep dodging the point if you want, but everyone reading this can see it: You made a claim, got called on it, and now you're just flailing

So no, you didn't "clearly" admit you had no source, you confidently pulled something out of your ass and now you're panicking because someone asked a basic question

They said GTA 6 has basketball, would be sick if they copied some NBA2K into the game so we can play some sick street basketball

I'm less concerned with side activities (I don't really wanna play cards or darts, or basketball in GTA), but more bothered with general interactivity. We're seeing these dense crowds and a level of hyper-realism that hasn't been done before, but the question is: how do they react? If bump into them, throw a grenade at them, start unloading, drive a car near or through them..? What if I just stand and stare, get in someone's way, bump shoulders with them, block them off in traffic etc.

With that level of visual fidelity and what so far appears to be completely unique NPCs, the reactions have to be up to par to make it worth it or else it'll come off as very dissonant and janky. Once you go past a certain point, a lack of accompanying simulation and reactivity can become magnified. I'm expecting a major step up in this regard and if they fail to hit it I'll be incredibly disappointed.

Fuck the map size, bring on that RDR2 level of interactivity and NPC behavior, which will probably be even more advanced here.

Why not have both?
Many people enjoy having things to do outside of missions. Itbreaks up the monotony of "cutscene >mission>cutscene" and adds depth to the game world and brings levity, esp for those that like a "live in the world" game experience.

If you don't like it, that's fine, ignore it, move on, but there is plenty of value to the side activities for those that do. RDR2 fans know this very well.

Wasn't saying don't have it, just that I'm more interested in how the world reacts in general than lots of side activities.

Edit: That said, if these things were competing for dev time and implementation, then I'd favour the general interactivity of the world over many of the small games / activities that'll likely be lesser than a dedicated game.

I talked like this all the time you wally.

I think GTA VI will have mods you don't that's it. Never said I have a source.

There's no argument here about the topic you're just getting autistic over the way some people talk.

I'm still confident, if I'm wrong I don't give a bollox and I'll confidently post what I think going forward on other topics. That's the Dublin way.
