Just saw Birth (or That Movie Where Nicole Kidman Takes a Bath With a 10-Year Old)

Anyway, it was a pretty damn good movie, channeling the energy of a good Kubrick film. For those unfamiliar, it's the story of a woman on the verge of marriage who is visited by a 10-year old who claims to be the reincarnation of her dead husband.

An interesting premise to be sure (is he or isn't he?), but what really sells the movie are the performances, especially Kidman as the confused Anna and Cameron Bright as the man-child. Both come off as very convincing in their roles, and turn something that could easily be unbelievably embarassing into genuine vulnerability.

Recommended.

Hitman

Edmonton's milkshake attracts no boys.
How long is the scene.. If its more than 2 minutes it should do fine as a rental. Anything less, I may have to rewind which is kind of annoying.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I really liked the movie. The "is he or isn't he" question can make for an interesting discussion, and I think in the end it comes down to who you are and how you watch movies. The movie leaves it open-ended like that, which was something I liked about it. If you look at it rationally and imagine it as a real-life occurance, I myself think he definitely was not her dead husband.
