I have a friend that sometimes has to get data off of destroyed phones as part of his job. He said even if this works there could be corrosion from water damage that makes the phone die after a couple weeks. They take the phones apart and air dry them.

Power button is unresponsive. So I plugged it in (probably fried it right there). After I plugged it in the battery icon popped up, said it was charging at 99%. Immediately unplugged it and the camera flash started spazzing out. Now it's sitting in front of a fan.

The screen looked 100% fine on the battery charge screen. I probably just blew the whole damn thing huh

Keep it drying and give it a week before calling it.

Sounds like battery is fucked but mobo might still be fine. Is fixable, assuming that's the only damage.

Dear Mr. Space,
If there's anything I can do to help get your flagship operational then please let me know. I know how frustrating it is to have a gadget go through the wash because this happened to my fitbit a few years back. You go through a painful phase of regret wondering what you could have done differently to avoid it. To error is human Mr. Space so please don't blame yourself for this. If I can't help then please at least accept my prayers and well wishes. You're one of the strongest people on GAF and that strength will carry you through this. Respect.
