Those shots suck on both fronts. The Xbox version of Kameo looked much better than that, and I don't think the 360 shots are doing the game justice, either.

one of the images clearly establishes the our colony image as Kameo.

Question - how come they can get that shot to align that well... what is going on with Kameo? Did they deliberate untexture one version so they can post this comparison shots? I've never seen any xbox shots that looked that bad and I was one of those who were critical of the visuals even before this move to 360. They have released better XBOX shots before. I think there was one about 3 months back and they DID NOT look that bad. It looks like they're using their just moved from Gamecube edition as a comparision.

WTF is it with the release of small pics in the HIGH DEFINITION generation?

Ugh... so annoying.
 
Wait, did MS purposely downgreade the Xbox1 kameo shots? They look decidedly low res, nothing at all like the shots that Odnetnin posted.
 
The framerate drops in and out on the TD video. Dunno if that's the video or the game (video is running at a good rate). Still can't do perfectly round around the wheels. :(

Besides that, it looks great, though.

No shit! It pisses me off too. MS had better have HD videos available from its website come E3.
 
Test-Drive.

Watching that gives me the impression that "crashing" isn't implemented yet. Footage seemed to cut whenever the car was about to hit an NPCar. He alos threaded the needles between two of them and not a bump was heard. At this stage you can probably drive right though them.

to be fair, I think they're saving the big images for E3. We're not there yet so let's hope the big screens will come.

I think what's sort of funny is that they deliberate jagged up the Kameo Xbox1 shots vs 360 images. It looks like they turned off all the anti-aliasing and visual effects to make Kameo 360 look better. If you look carefully at the previously released XBOX1 shots, you'd know that the Kameo does not look like those current 1up pics.

Noticed the same thing. Lots of cuts right before head-ons.
 
Microsoft explanation: You see, the Xbox had super graphx, but it could not produce the same level of FSA that you'd get from devKit screen-grabs. Now with the Xbox 360, with its fully-loaded HD capability, what you see in screen grabs is exactly what you'll see on an HDTV... only better.

We wanted to proved an accurate representation of how each version of the game looked on gamer's tv sets, so we turned off the 20x FSA sampling for Kameo 1.0.
