I just think the word emo is thrown in way to much. I guess it's a semantics discussion, which mostly is pointless.

That used to be one of my pet peeves too but the word lost all of its original meaning over the last couple of years anyways. And it describes exactly what annoys me about Kanye's latest sound

It was the best album of 2008 clearly, but something better could come out this year in advance of it. I'm sure the age of the record will work against him in next year's awards though so another loss is possible if not likely.

A version of Paranoid featuring Rihanna was going to be the 3rd single, but they pushed it back and are doing "Amazing" next. Though he also apparently shot a video for "See You In My Nightmares."

WTHB is awesome, but the original version is even better.

This is an emotionally charged song? I know nothing of Kanye, but this is shallow drivel. I'm also not a fan of autotune, but I assume the guy can't sing, so it probably sounds better this way.

the "emo" thing is overused. Rockstars have been whiny and "emotional" in their music for years. If 'Jesses Girl' came out today people would call it emo.
