Gaming connoisseur and poisonous celebrity Kim Kardashian is super psyched for the next Call of Duty, she said on Twitter today. Because the graphics look crazy.

“But wait,” you might be thinking. “Doesn’t Kim Kardashian sell her tweets?

Nope, Kardashian says. It wasn’t a paid tweet. She and her brother play Call of Duty “all the time.”

(Of course, we followed up with Activision to verify that and they confirmed that it wasn’t done through them.)
Clearly, the Woodward and Bernstein of Generation Y.

Peopla actually care about this kind of thing?

"Kanye West is getting Kim Kardashian hooked on video games!!"

If I cared any less a black hole would appear by my side and absorb the entire human race into my ass.

+1 for "you're a bunch of jaded, cynical gamers." The echo chamber in GAF can be very loud.

If anything it just shows you cynicism is healthy.

If you don't get started soon Kim might beat you to it.

OP reads like a poor man's hipster run-off post.

which makes me think someone should do an HRO-style gaming blog.

Thanks for not disappointing me when I knew that people would immediately assume that she got paid for that tweet.

Are there really people out there that are this ignorant? I know that she's been paid for video game related tweets before. You really think someone as "eloquent" as Kim is going to sit there and spell out the full "Call of Duty Black Ops II" name? There aren't enough eye rolling smilies on the internet...

I don't have anything against Kim Kardashian, or the fact that she posted this on her Twitter. I sort of understand how and why it made it to the news, but that doesn't mean I think it deserves it, or is anything that rational people should consider to be even remotely close to anything that is actually news worthy - if it is, I do not understand why, cause her opinion on gaming doesn't seem to matter very much, even according to the original 'news article', cause she isn't big on gaming.

If it is an ad, it's probably detrimental to the state of gaming or the Call of Duty brand, cause it indicates the publishers/developers desire to appeal to as many people as possible (Trying to get the people who listen to Kim Kardashians opinion to play an FPS shooter?), and therefore it is likely that they are trying to generalize the game as much as possible in the various aspects that allow it.
