Ok, his endings on the majority of yeezus are the best in the world bar none.

what makes the album disappointing was that he could have move towards something closer to Gorgeous/Lost In the World on dark fantasy - Good Morning/Everything I Am on graduation and kept BlackSkin Head/New Slaves/Bound 2 (the latter is a MUCH darker song than people realize - it may be the darkest song the whole fucking album) and he would have been the best album this year bar none with at least two of the songs reaching "Stairway to Heaven" status.

This is probably a really weird and petty thing to gripe about, but Frank Ocean sounds really weird the second time he says "too high" at about 3:25 in New Slaves. Like he's got marbles in his mouth or something. Seems like a bad take.

I'm not really a big fan of hip-hop but I'm enjoying this album. I'm assuming it's the production. His lyrics can be pretty funny too.

so..yeah the best song on this album is definitely hold my liquor.

chief keef's hook is so good, combined with bon iver's vocals too. and that 80s michael mann synth followed by the guitar solo omg.

Great Timbaland interview, talks about his feelings on yeezus and he loves the album. The dude REALLY wants to work with kanye on a yeezus follow up, has tonnes of praise for kanye. Also addresses that suit and tie diss that I know a lot of gaf likes to mention to stir shit up, as if they hate each other, which of course is bullshit, he's completely cool with it.

Watched this after listening to MCHG and I feel the same way about Yeezus really hope he get his wish to co-produce a album with Ye.

The largest 2nd-week percentage drops for #1-debuting albums: MDNA 86.70% | Born This Way 84.28% | Blue Slide Park 82.54% | Yeezus 80.27%.

I can see why. Just not a fan of what he is putting out now. Too bad, always like his earlier stuff, but the new stuff is horrendous for the most part.

Comments like these are indicators to me of a good artist tbh, always making sure to move forward instead of getting trapped doing the same old shit until it's stale. If each album is appealing to a different subset of people and tastes than that's great (as long as the albums themselves are actually great and excel at those respective sounds of course). Kanye nails this in my opinion, look at 808s, some people detest that album and others have it as their favourite kanye album. Same thing is happening for Yeezus.

Nah. The reason for the drop off is because unlike any of those other albums, Yeezus hasn't released any singles. We'll see how the album does after Black Skinhead + any other singles come out.

MBDTF dropped 78%

Kanye's sales have become increasingly front loaded so the drop is hardly that unexpected, especially considering Yeezus is polarizing.

Looks like it was built on the EA Sports engine.
