I could have sworn that Gandhi was. Oh well, I'll take your word for it.Jak140 said:To put this in perspective--Hitler was Time's man of the century.
Everything seems to be in order. In the meantime, the selection becomes a parlor game in America to guess who fits the criteria of "the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or for ill, and embodied what was important about the year, for better or for worse."
Hmm, looks like your right, but I could have sworn I heard it was Hitler from somewhere.Raoul Duke said:I could have sworn that Gandhi was. Oh well, I'll take your word for it.
No. Einstein was, as Guzim said, Man of the Century.Jak140 said:Hmm, looks like your right, but I could have sworn I heard it was Hitler from somewhere.
Another proposed entity for 2004 was "The Blogosphere," the online Web log journals that helped redefine the role of the media.
:lol Come on guys, give me a break, I think it's pretty clear to everyone I was wrong by now. I found a site that lists Time's people of the year and apparently Stalin and Hitler made it, so that's probably where I got confused.MetatronM said:No. Einstein was, as Guzim said, Man of the Century.

Indeed. I'm thinking Lee Atwater would be blushing at some of Rove's tactics.Society said:Karl Rove deserves it. The main is pure evil genius. You may not like him, but he is one of the greatest political terrorists ever known.
He created George W Bush the politician. And when Dubya is gone, Rove will continue his campaign against the humans....er, democrats.RaymondCarver said:![]()
He had good campaign strategy. Other than that, I don't know anything about the man. Should I?
Rove doesn't do "good campaign strategy", he does ruthless no-holds-barred attacks regardless of factual merit. One of his favorite things to do is attacking opponents strengths instead of their weaknesses. John McCain was a war POW, and Rove turned it around by having an "independent" group come up and say that experience left him mentally unstable. Al Gore was widely seen as a boy scout, yet when the GOP knew they couldn't win on issues, they tore down his character and the so-called "liberal media" was happy to go along. John Kerry was a war vet who holds strong yet detailed positions, hence swift boat vets and flip flopping.RaymondCarver said:![]()
