Kerry/Edwards Election Directive: Charge Voter Intimidation, Even If None Exists

How does that translate into charging there is voter intimidation even if there is none? It could just as easily mean they're going to be vigilant everywhere even in areas without a history of such abuses. Of course I haven't read the article, but then again I don't give Drudge hits.

Then again, it is rather hilarious how you apparently feel it's fine to do the same thing on the world stage so long as it's a Republican president, but not ok for the DNC to do it.

You know caps make you look like an ass, right?

Anyway, on this note, I really don't care. This is just the dirty business of politics, which neither side is above. It's really not worth trusting what any campaign says as it pertains to the elctoral process and underhanded things the other side is doing. They're both guilty as sin, and both sides are willing to say anything need to regardless of how truthful it is or not.

Just watch the candidates, listen to what they have to say, decide whether or not you believe the things they say, and vote accordingly. Everything else is an absolute mess, and the morals and ethics of the political community would make even the residents of Sodom embarassed.

Just read it, and it's a non-story. They're talking about highlighting the issue, not creating it out of mid-air.

Cooter, I'm sure you were outraged about the torn-up Democratic registrations, too, right? Or is that OK, but talking about it is dirty politics?

Notice how nothing in that memo says "Accuse the GOP of voter intimidation." Their plan is to just talk about it, bring the topic to the surface so people know about what the consequences COULD be.

The provocative Dem battle plan is to be distributed in dozens of states, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. One top DNC official confirmed the manual's authenticity, but claimed the notion of crying wolf on any voter intimidation is "absurd." "We all know the Republicans are going to try to steal the election by scaring people and confusing people," the top DNC source explained. Developing...

After reading the scan (or whatever it is), it's exactly as I thought. No mention of actually charging anyone with voter intimidation or fraud, but just point out the record in areas that have a history of it, and bring a dialogue of potential and past problems into the discussion.

Both parties are already planning to have massive watches present anyway, and the RNC has "lawyers on call" for voter issues on election day anyway. Oh no!! The RNC says the DNC is going to try to steal the election because they're preparing for the possibility of something going wrong, how dare they be prepared!!

No dirty tricks here, but it *is* hilarious that the paranoid conservative crowd is finally starting to worry about karma.

Teiresias nails it, basically.

On another note, I highly doubt any "top DNC official" would actually bother talking to Drudge. Drudge probably got that quote from some freshman volunteer at the local community college. :p

OMG this is worse than the RNC mailer about banning bibles.... Not.
:lol

And this is just the sort of non-event that Drugde & his zealots like to cream over in order to draw attention away from Bush's complete failure as a leader.

Next.

I would like to see the Black Panthers reunite and physically restrain idiots like Cooter, Ripclawe, et al. from voting. Give them a taste of some Florida-style justice.

Remember, as your fearless leader once said: "There oughta be a limit to free speech"

First tragedy, then farce.
I still am convinced that Neo-conservitism is a disease, it is some sort of defficiency in the way the brain functions. It causes you to do strange things like defy logic, read exactly what you want out of any document and repeat things over and over again until they become true. We can only hope that Stem Cell research can cure this as well.

I think they're suggesting pre-emptively warning people about the possibility of voter intimidation by the republicans. That's fair enough. Not accusing them of doing it if they haven't been.
