I hope they have a week with Clements and Goldfarb on, like both of them on the game over greggy show and having them on the daily live show one day

I'm dying right now imagining Cheryl looking at Colin and saying, with an entirely too serious face, "position 2".

Matty I know we don't say it enough but appreciate you posting the videos every day. Makes it really easy for me to find and watch them on my phone

So, according to the official website for Spike's Lip Sync Battle, Greg is a co-host on the Lip Sync Battle Pre-Show with someone named Elliot Morgan. I think it's a YouTube exclusive thing for the show. For those that don't know, the show was created out of the Lip Sync Battle feature of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon/The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Interestingly enough, one of the writers of The Tonight Show is Mike Drucker, who worked with at IGN. He was there for the early days of Up at Noon (which Greg, Nick, and Tim worked on). I wonder if Mike had anything to do with getting Greg to co-host this pre-show. Also, I do hope Greg can bribe Drucker to ask Fallon to be on the GOG show (maybe during one of the times Kinda Funny is in NY).

Update: Here it is; the official logo for the Kinda Funny NeoGAF Community!

There may be small changes in the future, specifically to the GAF sphere and Kinda Funny smiley combo or the size of some of the words. But for now, this is it!

HAHA! I was watching C&GL and I think a new potential KF catchphrase was birthed: Rockommendation. It's better than a recommendation.

I don't have a lot of time to watch live stuff anymore -- they need a central base to house ALL their content -- not looking here, there, other places.

That's what this thread is for :) but I agree it's tough to keep up with all of it.
I think, that's what kindafunny.com is for though. Check it out. (Or keep using GAF, good job, MattyG ;-))

I'm more frustrated with the repition between certain shows. Like the HD Remaster-discussion, I feel like I heard that 10 times now. Not even watching the single video. I understand, they want to spread their content and nobody has time for everything, but I fundamentally am against such audience-splitting... (what Tim is all about, I guess)

Was that you who asked the question?
Yup!

Haha I remember that video! Their answer is funny because I turned 18 right around the time San Andreas came out and the first thing I did was go buy all 3 GTAs. But as I recall retailers here were a lot less strict about what they sold to minors back in 2005
Yeah, they seem to have eased up a bit in the last couple years though, surprisingly (at least in my area). The ESRB panic really picked up around the time of San Andreas though, with Target marking it as an AO game. I still remember my parents hearing about the whole Hot Coffee fiasco and drilling my brother about it when he bought it.

As for the video, I saw so many people in the comments section the day posting stuff like "he waited until he was 17 to play M rated games because of the ESRB?" Heeeeeell no, I just didn't have to jump through hoops to get them anymore.

And I'm actually finally getting around to playing Spec Ops now, just started it yesterday. It's really good so far. #ColinWasRight

I tried Spec Ops for an hour, but the gameplay is so incredibly bland and repetitive, I couldn't be bothered with it. :-/

I platinum-ed that title... and let me tell you, I don't know why I put myself through that garbage. The load times and checkpoints are horrific. Gameplay is very bland and your AI teammates are almost borderline useless with will probably get you killed in the FUBAR difficulty

Thanks for doing this!

Are you going to do any more Minecraft videos with Colin and/or Tim? I loved that first one you did and hoped it would become part of a series of you teaching the game to them. Speaking of teaching, what are the chances that you or Colin (or both of you) will introduce Nick to either Uncharted or The Last of Us any time soon? I do think it might be worth it to hold off on Uncharted, because I fully expect a remastered trilogy collection to be announced at E3 with a Fall release, especially with 4 being pushed to 2016.

Also- This is why you're the best:

If you are unaware, he's fine. He actually was able to show up to Giant Bomb's Unprofessional Fridays. While there, he said it seems that he might've pulled/slightly torn some muscles in that area. Basically he had been fairly inactive (exercise wise) and I guess the sudden change to strenuous exercise was a shock to his muscles. He should have eased into it.

Oh, Greg was here, I was going to suggest they play Cards Against Humanity again but I guess I missed 'em. Anyway if either Greg or Colin sees this I love you and hopefully you take my suggestion.

I kind of understand where the guys are coming from by not doing it, but man I wish they would put Colin & Greg Live on YouTube after it airs, just because it would make it so much easier to watch/listen to it after the fact. The worst part is that I remember one of them saying that they upload it (I would assume to archive the footage), they just don't make it public.

Same goes for Mega Man marathon. That needs to be saved for posterity to watch again later.

Why don't they do something like that? The Twitch VoDs are such fucking garbage and disappears after some time. It seems insane to not put that stuff up on their YT channel, or at least create a separate YT channel if they're afraid the archives will clutter their main channel.

We've discussed organizing a fan run one before (something like GB Unarchived), but the first time someone tried some guy came in and complained about it so the person shut it down. Then we figured we should try to get Greg and Colin's blessing before we tried again, but I don't think anything ever came of it. It's a shame to lose all that content, so hopefully the guys end up setting something official up eventually.

We probably have to wait til Twitch get their shit together and improve upon their streaming quality worldwide. Buffering the VoD stuff is an absolute pain here. On the other side, if they stick with it, Twitch improves and gets potentially bigger, Kinda Funny can say, they stuck with it and grow based on that. Really curious how the Youtube stuff turns out, their conversation last week about it was very telling, they certainly are aware of Twitch's problems.

They'll still delete the VODs after some time though, regardless of the quality. So that will always be a problem.

I think the idea is that they're backing it up for posterity, even if they don't think we need access to old episodes. At that point, though, I think it should be up to what the fans want; as much as I respect the guys, if they're uploading that stuff to YouTube anyways, why not just make it public and let the fans check it out? You're not hurting anyone. Unless it's some part of their Twitch Partners contract, but I don't think that's the case or they would have said that on the Patreon Survey episode when the topic was first broached.

I just saw Furious 7 today.

God. DAMN. What a great movie. It's super fun, goofy and ridiculous, and it knows it. And that ending...

I never expected to be moved by a F&F movie period, let alone to the extent that I was during that final scene. Hats off to the cast and crew, they did an amazing job at turning a really difficult situation into something beautiful.

Up until 2 weeks ago I had only seen the first one, way back when it first came out.

I marathoned the other 5 after hearing Nick and Tim rave about it so much, and man what a ride it was. I finally understood. It's about family. It really is

Saw 7 on the weekend and yeah I was in tears too. Thought I was holding it together but nope. A very classy ending, I'm happy they sent Paul off right.

The new Patreon exclusive Gameovergreggy show was amazing, great work guys.

It was good to learn a bit more about Tim - he doesn't mention his family much so it was nice to see.
edit: And both the Patreon's are up to around $25,000 which is good to see!
