Looks okay I guess. A little underwhelming after the hype I had heard for the game. Although I suppose it's possible that next gen has already spoiled me.

Whoah. Now, I'm no FramerateFreak® but.. what.. how..

Why was it so... choppy?

It's like.. N64 time, and that's not meant to be a troll, just that I honestly had flashbacks to Banjo Tooie chug-a-lug.

I'm extremely excited about this game but, why... why release that video!?!

Word to that. I originally thought it might have been the video render, but the UbiSoft logo animated smooth as silk.

The screenshots look good, but the trailer...

I guess I should wait for a higher quality trailer before passing judgment.

Looks like Beyond Good and Evil with more shooting. Ugh.

I'm betting that you'll have a party-of-three setup with Jack having to take video here and there for goals.

Well I think it looks good. Maybe on another system it'd look better, but it's certainly good enough compared to other X360 games.

...those are PS2 shots and a PS2 trailer.

The Xbox version they showed at Comic Con was smooth and not letterboxed.

is this running on the BG&E engine or some sort? cause BG&E had some pretty bad framerates at some areas of the game (PS2 version)...

Can't see the trailer from work, but I was under the impression that this was a first person game, screens look 3rd person.

It is FP. There is no HUD + he does hot have a gun loaded/equipped all the time.

Can we get a High Fidelity video game after this?

I mean, if we're going to play as Jack Black...

Holy shit, flashback to Jurassic Park nightmares as a little teen.

Oh chit...chit chit...

I guess I was 12 or some shit when I first watched Jurrassic Park. And since that day, I've had (maybe once every 2 months) A SCARY AS FUCK nightmare where I'm being chased by a huge ass T-Rex, and I'm running house to house, crevice to crevice to escape from it.

I fuckin shit you not you fuckers, it's A SCARY ASS NIGHTMARE that I couldn't wake up from. Aaaah, I'm not playing this game. Fuck that shit. Uuh euh, no way.

Actually, it works like this. You play both as the main guy and King Kong.

Main guy: first person (to give a sense of "OMG WHERE AM I? I FEEL SO SMALL AND HOPELESS")
King Kong: third person (to give a sense of "LOOK AT ME, I'M HUGE, I'M THE KING OF THE JUNGLE!")

Very interesting video btw.

Anyone got a pic of the original Plystation technology demo dinosaur to compare to these ones? Just for laughs?

The game is multiple perspective depending on which character you are. :)

I checked out the vid. The setting looks phenomenal! But choppy chop chop chop my eyes!

Hopefully the X360 version is 720P glory at 60FPS locked. :D

Which is a little odd to me. The Xbox and the Xbox 360 at the same time? More questionable to me, the PlayStation 2 and the backwards-compatible PS3 which is a bit off?

GameSpot shows the game slated for the PS2 and the PS3, but I don't understand how that could be so. What kind of selling power could a PS3 version have only a year after the PS2 version is released, especially when PS3 owners could still play the PS2 disc on their consoles? Ya dig?

I'm hip, but what they make off the Playstation 3 version will probably outweigh what it takes to port the 360 version to it, daddy-o. It'll have improved graphics and release with the DVD. Solid.

Wow, that video is truly terrible. Seems like a great example of how a lot of modern developers would rather make games that look good in screenshots instead of ones that perform well on the actual hardware. Even if the framerate had been better, the animation was kinda mediocre and the environment destruction looked really corny.

The whole thing reminds me of the STALKER trailer from months ago -- not in terms of style or graphics, but just how you have to scratch your head and wonder how the company's PR department ever approved the release of footage that looks so rough. The game will almost certainly improve, but putting out media like this only sets you back.

I guess it's more of a design decision than a technical problem, but I really dislike how you can pump clips and clips of ammos into the T-Rex without it reacting at all. For FPS games in particular, I can't stand it when the developer refuses to let you know whether your tactics are working or not.

ok, the new trailer is MUCH better than the one released yesterday. very smooth framerate and great graphics. still not sold on the gameplay though. and it actually features king kong for a bit

Dude, this game looks awesome.

My god, how are you motherfuckers not scared by that shit. Resident Evil...nah, Silent Hill...nope....but this shit, holy x-rays batman!

I think the gameplay looks awesome, the game seems like one big interactive rollercoaster ride (I mean, that new trailer screamed that concept basically)

No HUDS, purely interactive cutscenes, gotta use your brain to outwit the T-rexes (you would think it wouldn't be too hard eh?)

Wow, thanks Wario--you just put one more game on my wishlist...asswipe =p
