So I've been checking out New York, and for the most part its prohibitively expensive. I mean I could easily afford it, but it would supplant all the benefits of a higher paying job. Besides, I'm used to commuting long distances (in and around the south Texas hill country and San Antonio) so it wouldn't bother me at all to make a healthy drive if I did get the itch to scope out NYC, Boston etc.

So the Burlington area is an option, given that one of the places I could work is in Colchester. In doing some aparment searching, I'm finding a lot of rentals available with income limits, section 8 etc, and I wondering if Burlington is a lil more the "ghetto" side of Vermont. I've got no problems with the lower income side of town, but I'd like to be a little more aware of what I'm getting into before I just show up waiting to get my shit lifted, and I don't really have the option of a preview tour, unless one of ya'll (Texas!) would like to mail me some airfare.

Anyway, I'm also still shopping Chi-town..Detroit I don't think I could handle as a Spurs fan (or rather they probably couldn't handle me..heh). The search continues..help find Nedders a home!!

Burlington is the college town of VT. I wouldn't describe it as ghetto, but it is full of hippies, so you better like Phish, and white guys with dreads.

Vermont is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Pretty much the whole state, from what I saw, and I drove across the length of it almost all the way to Canada (to see the last Phish show).

Burlington is an awesome awesome city. Lots of decent looking women for the area. Great for skiing and other outdoors activities. Better than New York City certainly.
