While waiting for our complete interview, we can déja announce to you that Mr Kojima is very interesting about the capacities of the double screen of Nintendo DS and makes us share of his desire create an innovative play on this support, on the other hand, it cannot say some more for the moment relating to this title... Certainly more information with the TGS which will be décidemment very exciting this year on the side of Konami. "

about other news, heard about Nintendogs 2 coming on 2006 on NDS.

I don't think it will be boktai. It will probably be a game that uses the two screens for gameplay.
Boktai with dual-screen gameplay. You heard it here first.

Boktai DS?
Thats what I thought he would be talking about. I think Kojima mentioned that he would like to make another Bodkai, so maybe he has found a way of using the DS to make the game really good.

Then again, it's only Snatcher. Long boring ass cutscenes. Crappy shooting sequences.

I NEVER SAID THEY WERE CRAPPY YOU RETARD.

That one final scene involving that one revelation with that guy
he is robut
took like, 45 fucking minutes. Yeah, I'd like to continue my point and click game now.

Could it be metal gear? I remember an interview a while ago where he was really excited about the DS, and talked about incorporating some new ideas into the MG series using the dual screens. If i remember correctly one of the ideas he brought up was having a remote camera you could set up to spy on guard locations from different angles.

What's Boktai?

Edit: now that I think about it, I remember.. he was talking about GBA/GCN connectivity, not the DS. But I think the principle is the same.

It has many similarities to Blade Runner. Even to this day I consider it Kojima's best game. :D

Now THAT is a game somebody needs to remake preferrably Fasfa. We finally have the technology to do it justice. I wouldn't mind if it was an action/adventure game in the vein of the RE4 engine.

can't see the durned DS screens in the sun either. :|

I keep hoping someone would come out and say "surprise! Kojima had nothing to do with Boktai!"

It was that shitty.

He has something to do with them, but he isn't heavily involved with them or anything.

What's going on with Boktai 3? I haven't heard anything about it and last I saw, it was playable sometime ago. Is Kojima involved or what? Is it being made by Kojima Productions?

Boktai rocks, like Metal Gear mixed with LandStalker. It's easily the best thing to come from Kojima since since 1998.

Kojima's new DS game is online too btw.

It's all solid gameplay, almost no cinematic fluff. Kojima should continue moving in that direction... he's a pretty poor film maker.

Lakitu said:
Where did you read that it would be online? So there's two DS Kojima games, an original game and Boktai DS?
When Nintendo sent out their WiFi DS publisher support list. Most assumed the online title coming from Kojima Productions would be Boktai, but evidently it's something else entirely.

Boktai is a great series, but its not in any way, shape, or form even remotely close to MGS3's league in any area.
