Does no one think it looks Tim Burtonesque? o_O
I do, which I think is great. But I can't ignore the fact that this game got canned once before, so I'm not terribly excited.

do you think it would have sold on the xbox? I just tried to find out how much psychonauts sold and I found this:

http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/22650
The game cost USD 11.8 million and 4.5 years to produce.

At its peak, team consist of 42 full time and 5 contractors. A bit of trivia about this game, lines of code: 166,781 in 381 files in C++, game script: 332,650 in 2,433 files in LUA, lines of code tools: 81,260 lines in 445 files in C++/C#, 11,318 lines in 51 files in Python.

The outcome? The game sold a combined 15,000 units (Xbox + PS2) in June, with the PC version faring no better.

I was cube only last gen and would have bought it if they made a cube version, they put it on the wrong system.

oh.. heh. thank fuck it isn't based on the really short-lived comicbook by tim seeley

Is the Wii's library so poor that people are actually excited for this game?

Because i'm pretty sure there's a reason it was cancelled. Just like there was a good reason publishers kept dropping Malice, it was a piece of poo.

So every game that has been cancelled wasn't good, and didn't have potential to be good?

Wii version looks worse (graphically) than the original Xbox build. :X
Well lets pair up some Pics. . .cause from what I see thats not the case.

Anyway, I like most of the art design. . . just not the character's design.

Looks cool but I can't say Im too into it because the art kinda throws me off.
But I believe theres a market for it on the Wii.

Anyway. . .. YAYYYY! Wii bring-en back Plateformers from the brake of death!:D

Not hard to see. Go to IGN, look at all the shots they have on the Xbox page, then look at the "new" shots on IGN Wii. The character design of the female character is glaringly downgraded (looks a lot more blocky and uglier), and most of the screens posted in this thread and the other thread that people were claiming looked impressive were actually old shots from the Xbox.

The trailer isn't actually new.. In fact, I'm unclear what, if any, of the media is actually from the Wii game.
didn't want to be the one to post it, but yeah; not only is the trailer old, but most, if not all, of the pics in this thread are as well.

Hence why i find it strange for someone to claim that it looks "worse" than the XBOX build: it IS the XBOX build.

Supposedly the IGN shots that have the word "Core" watermarked in the upper corner (why it's spelled differently I don't know) are the only "Wii" shots.

But maybe that's wrong. This was being discussed on some other forums I frequent.

The problem is, most of the XBox stuff on IGN wasn't in-game (concept art).

Seeing as we are looking at only IGN stuff . . . some of IGN's stuff for the Wii ate those screens but theres others that weren't on the Xbox area that looks very much in place and onpar.

(Which is why I asked for some pic pairing and not just "go to IGN").

AH now i see it.

Yeah that does indeed look downgraded.

Yeah, but there are numerous in-game shots (accompanied with the in-game video of the XBOX version) posted on the IGN Wii as Wii pics and vids, which they are not.

It's tricky to catch (I knew it wasn't the Wii version, but i missed that there were a few Wii shots hidden in there) but the Wii version looks downgraded, coupled with an even stranger character design.

Then you can go look at the other Kore thread from a day or two ago on this very forum, where those pairings already took place.

Which also brings up the question, why do we have two threads?

And full disclosure: The Wii is my only only system this gen and I have always been an avid Nintendo player. Just wanted to get that out into the open before someone incorrectly accused me of being an anti-Wii fanboy just because I'm skeptical of one title. :lol

That "looks worse than an Xbox/PS2" crap is played out anyway, and its thrown out there on EVERY game thats mutli plat for the Wii. This time it was just thrown out prematurely when we apparently dont even have Wii screens yet. Just shows how quick people are to pull that trigger.

Really? Because I'm not the only one who sees it. *rolls eyes* Look above, and look in the other thread. Damn.

Wow, they really fucked up the character design even more so than the Xbox version.

Seemed like they tried to give her more features in the face and now she looks creepy. . .and the hair looks crap.

Oddly enuff the background doesn't look too bad with the new direction. Would like some pics from the same area to pair up.

Who cares?
I love plateformers and what not but Im not going to say that they are making this game look as good as it can. SMG proves the Wii can do much better than what they are doing (SMG looks alot better than the Xbox Kore screens so I see this as the dev's choice and not "Wii's limits" or some crap like that).

I can't pick this up. . . .simply because of this.

(-_-) . . .. .

As has already been pointed out, the Wii's library is kinda weak so a game like this can build some hype. Still holding out for a 6-7 ish game, or better.
