Seattle Video Game Industry Job Conference and Resume Workshop is taking place in the Seattle suburb of Shoreline at the Shoreline Center. Ten game companies are participating, including speakers from Mobliss, DigiPen (USA) Corp., Monolith Prods., Konami Digital Ent. -America, Sprout Games, Sony Online Ent., TKO Software, Gas Powered Games, Oberon-Media, Microsoft Xbox and Valve Software.

A number of companies are actively recruiting and looking for new talent at the conference. Mobliss has a number of positions open. Microsoft alone has more than 125 positions open.

This event is designed for artists, programmers, writers, musicians, designers and others looking to get into the computer and videogame business as well as game industry folks looking to brush up on their resume skills. Students and professionals looking to get into the computer and videogame business will have the opportunity to speak with industry insiders, hiring managers and participate in an engaging resume workshop hosted by recruiters from Mary-Margaret.com.

Not really, they'll just apply somewhere for free like people do all the time.
