That was awesome.
Splitting an incoming arrow? Returning it to sender? Doing it while flipping? All baller.

You may have gotten this impression from some archery enthusiasts who've commented previously that firing arrows so quickly would provide little penetration to be an effective tactic in combat. In this video his arrows pierce chainmail, but that's not supposed to help against penetration IIIRC.

Who the fuck puts the arrow to the left side of the bow (assuming you're holding the bow with your left hand)?! I didn't see the point of saying Lars places the arrow to the right of the bow (if he's holding it in his left hand).
I have never seen that and I've done archery for a very long time. Other than that and looking like a goober when jumping around, he's very skillful. The VO was killing me.
Who doesn't do it that way? If you've been doing archery for a very long time and you've been putting the arrow on the side of the string drawing hand, then you have been doing archery wrong for a very long time. Putting the arrow on the side of the bow holding hand is the standard way of doing it. It is literally how modern bows are designed to be used.

Uhh, it's not wrong. In fact, it's the proper way to do it. People have been doing archery wrong (since it pretty much disappeared for about 200 years and was reinvented from scratch).you have been doing archery wrong for a very long time.
Guys, guys! You know what this means, right?
You could be Hawkeye in real life. Real life.
Archers in the old days practiced from childhood. That was pretty darn amazing. The amount of practice is astronomical to get to that point.
Impressive archery, but his jumping around reminds me a lot of the Star Wars kid.
I finished Dan Carlin's "Wrath of the Khans" series and now I want this guy to learn horseback archery.
Holy shit splitting a in coming arrow in two is seriously impressive.
On youtube it looks impressive but how many times did he try to hit the arrow? 100? One lucky hit out of 100 is not so impressive anymore.

i mean, the "catching / splitting / whatnot an incoming arrow" are clearly trying hundreds of times to finally have the trick work for a single take.
