I missed the initial airings so thank God for Bittorrent and people who captured HDTV feeds. This show is one of the best things I've seen in a really long time it is directed better than some movies I've seen in recent memory and I have high hopes and expectations for this show. I am surprised about how little this show is getting raved about overall in the press and in many of the online forums I visit. I know there has been a discussion here and all, but it hasn't attracted the attention of say "American Idol".

I can't wait to see some of the stories behind some of the people. Its great that they are doing such a good job of developing all of the characters.

I hope they can keep it at this level of better and not try to drag it out 800 seasons. Does anyone know the format of this show? Does it have a set timeline like say 24 or something, or will it be ratings driven?

Im a little worried that its going to be really awesome for a month or so and then dull..

either they are going to not do much on any given episode, or they are going to keep adding plot twist on plot twist. either way, I dont see me liking it for too long. I really really really hope they go survivor horror route (which I think they are).. thats the only way I could see this show having lasting apeal.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I just don't see how the premise could possibly sustain the show indefinitely. It's great for now, though.

I must also attest to the goodness that is "Lost." This show is absolutely amazing (but still, I'd take a certain show over this, any day. )

I'm currently on the episode where Walt torched his dad's raft. I couldn't fucking believe that Walt would do that. And his reasoning sat well with me for a few seconds, but I'm like, "Wait a minute...what about fucking Dinotron roaming the forest, and the deranged maniac Ethan, and the whole fact that life on the island is practically miserable, as they run into hazardous situations every day?" And Walt, remember that polar bear that tried to eat you?

Yep. I just finished the first season. Good show. It's something new. I will say that the acting sucks ass at times, but this seemed to improve as the episodes went on. I really hate that bitch, the main woman. She's such a twat. I hope she gets killed off. Locke kicks all kinds of ass though. I can't wait for him to go all apocalypse now and take over. Oh it's gonna be sweet!!

Anyway, great show. I love it.

Remember, he is a kid. About that age I think most of us had pretty active imaginations and would probably think that whole situation to actually be pretty awesome. Plus you are surrounded by adults who you think will protect you from harm. Still on the other hand it's hard to imagine a kid also coming to the conclusion of burning the raft so take it or leave it. This show does indeed rock though and Locke is the man next to Brock Sampson.

I'm really wary as to whether or not I should be liking Locke. I'm usually liking him all the time, but for some reason, he gives me the "conniving, backstabbing enemy" impression sometimes.

I'm keeping my eye on him.

I think the acting is very, very good overall, especially for such a large cast. Kate (Evangeline Lilly) is really the only actress that I had concerns with, but she got better and better over time. I used to think that Shannon (Maggie Grace) was doing a poor job, but as my hate for her character grew over time, I realized that she was doing exactly what she was supposed to do with her character: make us hate the bitch!

Meh. It's a good show, but I'll watch it again after Season 2 is done. I can't stand how slow this show moves, and the cheesy music montages at the end of every episode drive me nuts.

Lost is awesome. It pretty much kept up the high quality all season long, although I did feel like they were padding a few episodes near the end of the season. But the last two episodes kicked ass and made it all worth while.
