What is a skill you had but lost?

I used to be a pretty good guitar player but I haven't played in years so I've lost any skill I had (I also knew how to read music too but I forgot long ago). I used to enjoy playing guitar but at some point I'm not why but I lost my interest in it.

I was pretty good at basketball, I can still shoot and coach, but age has taken my ability to move like the wind.

...hmm, I dont know for how long you´ve been playing before dropping out but AFAK you cant really ´lose´ a skill like that completely... sure, you might get rusty and lose some dexterity in your fingers but most of guitar playing is just muscle memory and information stored deep in your brain... much like ´riding a bike´ or ´fast typing´ :messenger_mr_smith_who_are_you_going_to_call: ...I´ve been playing guitar since 1988 and in recent years had times where I wouldnt pick up a guitar in 10-12 months. When I did, I was totally rusty ofcourse and got painfull blisters on my fingers right away but after 1-3 days of ´warming up´ again I´m usually right back where I left off... So, IMO as long as your fingers/muscles are not affected by some limiting issues due to illness or you suffer from serious memory loss (like after a stroke) its totally possible to regain all your Guitar Skills in no time :messenger_horns::messenger_sunglasses: ...Cant speak for the ´reading music´ part though, as I´ve never had that skill anyway and always played by ear or along tabs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had a mental break down a few years ago, a very traumatic one, and lost the ability to play as part of it, holding a guitar i may as well have been holding a trumpet.

One day at a gig my brain just clicked and the ability to play returned... BUT... I cannot remember how to play any of the many songs i know, but the ability to play is back, but i don't have the time to re-learn the music.

Creating graphic art, photos and videos on Photoshop/After effect. No time for it, and since you can't purchase these softwares anymore, rather renting them for the price of the said softwares per month, I stopped using them all together.

I became really good at fancy, medieval-script-looking calligraphy in 7th grade-8th grade. It was the greatest skill ever for talking to girls as a shy middle schooler. They all wanted me to write their names on stuff. Eventually I started charging $1 per name. I don't remember when or why I quit, but by high school it was a distant and somewhat cringe memory. Now I look back on it as a genius move by my 13-year-old self.

Besides passing just about everything in rugby, I haven't been rugby fit since I was like 23...

Sure, i keep up a bit of exercise and gym, but it really is two different types of fitness, I mean I was like basically 98 Kgs back then and it was lean and my legs were big...

I don't think I could drop kick nearly as far now.
