So I just watched this sequel, and hey I actually liked it better than the first one. I cant believe I just said that, but I dont care. I thought it was a fun popcorn flick. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any news on what the 3rd movie is supposed to be about? Anyway, if anyone has any info, post it in here, I am curious.
No, it actually is the Special Edition RE1 that they included (which is why I wanted it). In Japan, it's the original release as BioHazard was never re-released there.

I have the superbit version of resident evil for enhanced picture quality sadly there is no extra's, sony is the worst for multiple dvd version releases. How many versions of RE is enough for sony.
The scene of her running down the side of the building in the trailers is among the worst in cinema I've yet seen. I literally laugh out loud every time I see that.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a god awful bad. Is there actually a plot? How many times are each of the protagonist going to have their ass saved by a friend popping out of nowhere? It can't seem to know when to end either.
I liked the movie-yeah, yeah, bad plot, shitty characters, but considering the source material this is the best they could probably do unless they had a billion dollar budget or something. Decent popcorn material.
I didn't like how they tried to combine Ada Wong and Ben or whatever his name was in the reporter lady, only
to have her eaten by zombie kids , who don't even bother hunting the rest of the party. Wtf? She would have made for a more interesting long-term character than the black guy who has guns but doesn't use them because he's too busy being scared*groan*
And they should have done more with STARS, but everything else was okay

If they elaborated on the official material they might've come up with something good. That aborted George Romero script was pretty good (if it was real).
Probably the most laughably bad movie I've ever payed money to see. In order for one to find this movie good, I assume you have to shut down your brain, physically remove it from your head and then ship it off so that there is no chance of it getting back in your head while you watch the movie. Only then will the pure and utter stupidity of the movie approach levels of mild entertainment.
Pointless bump for a movie nobody wants to talk about, but I have to say I liked it. Yeah, like someone said in one thread, you have to put your brain on standby but I don't mind. Not every movie has to be life-changing brilliance, a good laugh can be worth the couple of hours too. And I definitely laughed when Mike Epps shouted "GTA, motherfucker!" while driving over a zombie.
I didn't mind the near-stupidity of some stunts, like say, the motorcycle in the church. Yeah, it was beyond unrealistic and borderline stupid, but it feels RE (CV, at least, had those overblown Matrix-esque action cutscenes) and it was just fun. I also got a little chuckle out of the fact that even the bullets were Umbrella brand.
I don't quite get why this popcorn-style of action has to be brutally slammed by everyone on the internet, unless it's something smart like Equilibrium (which actually gets dumber and dumber with every repeated viewing). What's so wrong with just being amused?

The third and final movie's supposed to be subtitled "Afterlife." Who knows where Anderson's going with that.
