Law and Order: out with the blonde, in with the brunette!

I don't think Serena is BAD, I just think she is mediocre compared with the past ones like Claire Kincaid. Her character is ok, I just find her acting a little weak sometimes. I'm looking forward to some fresh blood!

But they better keep Jack McCoy around. The show would suck without him.

I didn't like Serena much either. I found all her snide remarks very very annoying. She just seemed so annoying overall.

Man, the show has become a revolving door in recent years.

I never like the current ADA anyway, though. Angie Harmon has clearly been the best one IMO.

Serena is spineless, doesn't have any independance whatsoever, unlike Kincaid. With Lennie gone, I really hope McCoy stays on.

What the...

Did anyone catch last night's episode? I wasn't expecting her to be fired. I figured she'd probably quit, as it seemed that's where the episode was leading.

So Branch says she's fired, and explains why. Then she asks
"Does this have anything to do with me being a lesbian?"
Whaaa?? I almost fell out of bed laughing. Was there anything that pointed to this over the past few years? I'm guessing it was just the writers having a bit of fun with her departure.

She was a lesbian? There was like nothing in the show that suggested that was there - if so I never saw it.

so happy I can finally start watching it again.

Oh and is it me or "Is it cause I'm a lesbian?" come out of nowhere and seem totally out of place and forced....well the out of place and forced could be cause Rohm sucks. I also hated her cause she shit talked Jerry Orbach in her FHM interview...forgot what it was but i still hate her. They really need to bring back Angie Harmon.

Yeah, I was like 'WTF, You're a lesbian?' as soon as she said that, what ever gave that indication? I still hate Arthur though, a character I love to hate.

I missed the episode, can someone explaing how she got fired? And what was McCoy's reaction?

And Arthur is awesome, I was hoping he'd fire her, I can't remember any of the other DA's (Adam or the woman) having to take so many snide remarks from any of McCoy's past assistants.

McCoy wasn't there. He had just left the office and I think Arthur asked her to stay a minute. She sat down across from him at his desk and they chatted. He explained that she was too emotional and that while it's not a bad quality, for their office they need to be cold and objective. Or something to that effect. When she didn't get it right away, he said "You're fired". I think he mentioned that Sam knew of the decision. She then asked if it was because she was a lesbian, and he replied "no". She looked down, and said "Good. That's good." And then the show ended.

For a moment there the Big Cheese probably seemed as surprised as I was about the
lesbian situation
. As for Kincaid; agreed, she was the best. If Jill Hennessy's show ever gets cancelled, all she has to do is get Claire out of that coma!

As much as I like the McCoy character, I feel sorry for Moriarty (aka DA Stone) sometimes. He's wanted to pop back on the show but ever since he tried politics the production crew doesn't want to talk to him, apparently.

And isn't Noth scheduled for a short guest-star run?
