League of Legends Championship Series: Season 6

What game is worth watching on D1 that isn't CLG vs IMT. I missed a bunch of the games.

TiP vs. TL & C9 vs DIG were both stomps. FOX vs. TSM looked like it could have been good up until
20 minutes
. NRG vs. REN wasn't bad, although it was kind of sloppy, and not in the best way. You didn't miss much other than that one. Boring day tbh

TheOddOne claimed, having played/watched pro LoL since season 1, that the Ren/Dig match had the worst minute of competitive play in history with four players consecutively dying to the AI. I'm not going to disagreee.

Well... yeah. I mean, it's pretty easy to say, "Oh sure, you may get more CS by 20 minutes than this pro player in your Diamond IV games, but that's because you aren't trying to CS with an LCS-level lane opponent in your face", or similar.

You can't really say, "Yeah, you and your buddy have never been 1v2'd by a creep before, but you don't have to fight against LCS creeps!"

In other news, it's nice to see SKT's trying to address their jungle problems. I'm interested to see how well the substitution works; if they crawl back to Korea beaten and can't catch up to CJ, it's going to be the end of an era.

Doublelift has been shotcalling? No wonder they've been shit.

Haven't they learned from Bjergsen shotcalling that you don't give roles that need to focus on mechanics the shotcall lead?

I don't know why Deman bothered to self-censor there, he doesn't work for Riot anymore.

You can say it, D. It's not because he's an ADC that he shouldn't be shot-calling. It's because he's a fucking moron. (Though there does tend to be a remarkable correlation between the two data points among professional players.)

Zven plays like thinking he has a Lulu + Janna.

Pretty disappointing game, moreso after the good early game they had.

Wish we had Vitality and h2k tho.

We back? We back.

That OG game was not good. I don't think OG played that poorly, but they got out-drafted pretty hard by RNG. Why pick Leblanc as a mid-laner when you already have a Kog'Maw on the team? No Lulu or Janna or any kind of disengage? WTF is Thresh going to do? It was basically a protect the Kog'Maw comp that couldn't protect the Kog'Maw. When you get hit by the Gragas ultimate or the Trundle pillar, Zven has to flash away, which seriously hurts OG's team-fighting for the next 5 minutes.

I think, maybe it is not entirely reasonable for a team without Baron or dragon buffs to win a single team fight at 35 minutes and then roll all the way up mid from the outermost turret to the nexus in one push. Maybe.

TSM still entirely to blame, those Doublelift forced engages were atrocious, but they really need to fix these death timers at some point. (And delete Corki.)

I'm late to the party on this, but the ending of that TSM game feels like

At the same time, they wouldn't have lost the game if they didn't get completely crushed in the team fight. Had they gotten like a single kill in that team fight Ever probably would've not been able to finish.

Getting zero kills in a 5v4 fight is just terrible.

yeah if i could revert just one of the dumb changes rito made for s6 it would be the death timers

especially because they aren't even serving their intended purpose of making matches go shorter, since now all that happens is everyone is too scared to commit to a big fight because losing a fight after 20 minutes basically means giving up at least half the map

Sigh these death timers. I feel we get cheated out of more cool fights.

Even if RNG was stomping them they were a sight to see.

They're shorter in solo queue, but often lead to more risk averse players in competitive.

clearly you haven't seen the 1hour bronze fiestas where a team gets an ace, slowly clears minions for 2 minutes, the other team gets an ace, slowly clears minions for 2 minutes, etc etc eetc

Is there anything you can do to make games close out quicker in bronze other than increase snowball gold?

It's a kinda even game despite OG looking kinda bad. POE just can't match up with Bjergsen this game.

edit: scratch that, despite the even gold TSM is one step ahead most of the time.

Man, this is like the opposite of the CLG C9 match.

Where CLG C9 was winning because of amazing plays, TSM OG were winning because the other team made garbage plays.
