she looks high as fuck.

i feel like legos have gotten exponentially better since i was a kid. I cant wait to play with legos with my future kids.

Eighty fucking quid? This is why my brief re-entry to the LEGO world ended so bloody soon.

Why the heck are logos so expensive. My god....

Also, that kit needs to come with a train.

They're actually precision manufactured toys with tolerances in the micrometres, i believe. And i think NOT made in China.

The quality is pretty exceptional.

Nice, fun looking set. The cat is great.

Yep. I believe the factories are currently just in Denmark, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Mexico. I read that they plan on building a factory in China by 2017, which would supply bricks for the (growing) Asian market.

Nice, and good price. Really jealous of everyone who owns the previous ones and plans on getting this. It's one heck of a killer set to have.

Good looking set. Wish it was more 1 big piece a less little individual sets. Price is good at 99.99 for 1267 pieces. Less than 10 cents a piece.

I have the first two Winter sets, a little disappointed in the last two, but this one looks sweet.

Also we have official individual threads for new Lego set releases now? imokaywiththis.gif

when putting them together do you guys use the instructions? I mean, it says "expert" but if there's instructions how hard can it be? I remember loving these when I was younger and thinking that using instructions was cheating, but impossible without.

Hm why? Care to educate me on who she is and what is wrong with her?

Just one of their designers. I think she was an architect in a previous position. I don't know what's wrong with her, but probably that she designed some previous models that zou was less than impressed with. The only place I know her from is the modular model town hall.

Good lord, have Lego sets always had such a high price tag?

Different sets and ranges have different prices.

Generic brick boxes tend to be the best 'value'.

Licenses such as Star Wars and Hobbit, for example, have a bit of a premium, as they pay for the licensing.

Then there are more expert/advanced/collector's, which all carry a slight increase in price, presumably due to their unique designs or limited release.

Just as in pretty much everything else, it's not just about the materials.

Not impressed with this. Far too disjointed and the main structure doesn't have enough presence. The Cottage was way better.

yeah, town hall and cinema. incredible boring, repetitive and unimaginative builds.

I do agree that the Town Hall was a bit boring to build, but it's visual appeal has grown on me over time. I also think the interior is pretty neat.

ANd that's my annual Lego purchase once again guaranteed!

I'm going to run out of room for my Christmas display.

"Only" £80. I honestly expected more.

EDIT: Just noticed the snow is melting/yet to settle like the post office. Guess I could split them into two displays.
