I went to go order more parts for the X-agents and the hair I used for scully has been decimated! I could only find 179 across 5 different stores compared to several hundred a few weeks ago on there. I snapped them up quickly as the first run of agents is running out fast.

I started prototyping Cancer man! I have plans to make his cigarettes and a pack of morleys but I'm stuck on hair choice, which do you guys prefer?

The General Hux minifigure needs a trenchcoat like that... "Cancer man"?

I mean, he will have a nice trenchcoat in the film but the minifigure looks kind of meh and naked without one, nothing to tell it apart from other First Order officers.

Agree that a trenchcoat would be cool, but the fig has one printed on it to tell it appart.

Must stop looking at those SW sets btw. I'm itching for a new set and I really want that Falcon. I'll probably overspend come Force Friday. Especially as I'll order that Wall-E immidiatly when it comes up.

Any idea when double VIP will hit? Then maybe I'll stretch my purchases (Rey's Speeder, Tie and X-Wing are on my list too) out... Will order the big sets appart anyway, to use as much VIP discount as possible (If I count it right, I can have 5 euro's off on every purchase)

Definitely pic 2. Looks better and the part is going in the right direction as well.

Yeah i noticed but man it seems so lame. A proper trenchcoat would make it a wonderful mini, i think.


EDIT Oh and is that "cancer man" mini using Palpatine's head?

The plan is to get a long bar, print orange all around one end for a filter, cut a different smooth it shorter and use a paint pen to dab the end tip red. I would use the paint on the filter but it's not as durable as pad printing.

The plan for cancer man is the above minifig (I will have to order one of those star wars hairs to test) with trenchcoat 2x cigarettes, 1x 1x1 red tile with Morley packet printed on and a collectible minifig grey alien in a bundle. It'll be a bit cheaper than the agents. I'm to do a little alien baby in a jar on a 1x1 round brick but I have to figure out how to do it and still be cost effect, it may even just be a sticker, not sure yet.

This bundle will be much more limited though, I'm only making 50 vs the 200 agents. I can't see him being as popular

Based on the logo and some of the set names, the theme seems to be leaning towards a future/space + medieval mashup due to the heavy use of non-brass metal in the logo.
Could still be steampunkish, but I associate steampunk a lot with brass/bronze metal, wood, and/or leather.

...just gotta wait for LEGO (or a competition winner) to put the instructions out there!

No parts list yet - obviously the wheels (well the tyres and the wheels) are specific, so they were easy to track down. And the Hero Factory parts clearly identifiable from the three released pics. I *think* all the other parts are quite common.

But I wanted to grab em before they sold out as they aren't that widely available, and I imagine a few people will Bricklink the model.

LEGO has only just told the winners they have won them and not sent the sets out - but has previously promised to put the instructions out.

If you want to try and grab em now, the three parts in the pic are:

Pearl Dark Gray Hero Factory Shield with Handle for Clip (x6)

Black Tire 81.6 x 44 R (x2) ..... GBP 11.10 each = GBP 22.20

Oh, and I spent about £30 total. The tyres were £20 ish and from a UK seller, the six shields were from a US seller for $10.

Very smart. I bet that part (Pearl Dark Gray Hero Factory Shield with Handle for Clip) gets sold out completely soon. Not many of them out there.

Best to buy those parts now! Will definitely increase the value of even a MOC until that part is more readily available.

Is there a way to see the volume of sales for specific parts on bricklink? I'm considering cleaning out most of my technic parts (just don't have space for those and normal system parts) but don't want to be waiting months and selling one or two parts here and there. Are there alternatives for selling job lots other tha horrific eBay 'price per lb'?

picked up 8 shields, I want to use them in my Airship. I saw them and was like "damn, that's an awesome part that will probably become like maybe akira bike tier hard to find, better get it now.

In Bricklink, you can specify the quantity they must buy the parts. You can also create "lots" with all different parts and quantities.

When you see something like (4x) on bricklink, it means you have to buy 4 at a time of that item.

What's horrific about 'price per lb'? It all depends on the price you can get per lb. Shipping costs can kill any profit. Best if can sell local. Craigslist is one way, but I'm wary of using that site. I've never sold any LEGO outside of Bricklink, but have recently sold a few items on eBay for my first time so I may consider eBay in the future.

There was an article on Brickset that Trade4Cash would buy LEGO by the pound. I have some I was planning on selling in bulk a small bag of used LEGO I didn't want to deal with, but it looks like they ended that program only after a few months. The links are no longer valid. That sucks because now I probably have to resort to eBay to sell them.

Alright... That logo of Nexo Knights gets me excited. Been a while since we had a good castle theme especially since I missed Kingdoms :(

EDIT: extra excited now it's Lego system and possibly CCBS sets similar to what Chima did.
