If they make it to scale with Ecto-1, the set will be huge and necessitate the high piece count.
Yeah, mine was built around my ecto prototype scale which is more or less exactly the same as the final one, you can see how big it is here, not quite as tall as the bell tower on the town hall but close. It's also on a 2x 32x32 baseplates

Thanks. I've tried to find things to distract me from dipping into depression and one of them was getting back into Lego a couple years ago. It just sucks when those things start to slip away too. I'm still going to be part of legogaf, just not as active.
My two cents on the Ghostbusters HQ, even though it pretty much seems to be true at this point. Just to add to it the Dimensions Ghostbusters level pack comes out in January too...hmmmm.
The Toa kinda underwhelm me, but Umarak looks neat with the mix of transparent green and dark red.

Found a Craigslist seller with a ton of old Lego but the prices are pretty cringeworthy. Hoping I can talk them down from the crazy prices. At times I think it would be cheaper to buy the pieces from Bricklink and assemble older sets that way.

I still think the Toa still have alot to show, especially since each one will combine with a beast set as well.
I'm not blown away, but I'm not disappointed at all. I do thinkt he more organic look was the way to go, but all these preliminary shots of the product always pale in comparison to final product.

Also: So much for that Dimensions Slimer exclusivity! I am pretty sure this set will include a Slimer (either the very same one or a different variant)

I'd rather put that $30 towards the firehouse than just the Dimensions set for Slimer though...
Oh yeah, if this is happening Slimer is DEFINITELY included. I can't believe they would make that mold only to include it in Dimensions. It makes a very easy inclusion. Hopefully there weill be other exclusive minifigs. I'm sure we'll get versions of the crew with patches on their arms too, since we're getting one in Dimensions.

Most of you know there's a pretty amazing toy store near me that only sells LEGO sets, including many old ones. I was speaking with the owner today and he told me that this week he committed to his order (300 boxes) of both the January and May releases. While January is back to the regular series, apparently the May one is an "interesting IP to do a run of CMFs with". He wouldn't say which. I suggested Futurama and he indicated it definitely wasn't.

Darn, sounds like maybe no Simpsons series 3 then? I know it's a divisive line but I freakin' love them (they're actually what got me into the minifigure series in the first place. I weirdly didn't pay attention to them until Simpsons, even a couple years after I had gotten back into Lego sets). I need Principal Skinner bad.

Ahh didn't know it worked that way, makes sense. 30% is still very nice. Yeah, i'd be buying a lot of LEGO personally. Also keep your eyes open for returned items or clearance items... from what I've read from other employees your discount works on those, and you can get some pretty ridiculous discounts as a result sometimes.
Like if someone returns a set that is no longer carried it sometimes is marked way down in price, and your discount would stack on top of that.
So... make sure you are knowledgeable about what sets are new and which ones aren't and you can really benefit.

I'm screwed. I want the minifigs and accessories, especially that "giant" knight dude. Can't tell if it's a big fig or some unholy combo with a minifig...kinda like Dog Pound from the TMNT theme. The normal looking minifig legs and giant hands suggests it's such a combo.
I get some Ionix Tenkai Knights vibe from that image. I guess it's because both are a combo of knights and sci-fi tech.

I like the colors of the Nexo Knights but the set designs themselves are...ehhhh. I want to wait and see, maybe the actual set pictures will look better.
