Misleading title a bit. It says some pre-orders they will not be able to meet in terms of demand and will cancel those.

Its only a 10% improvement in performance right? I cant see spending that much money on such little performance boost.

I mean, if people are happy with the product, then good for them. I am happy with my Go, but not interested in buying another Legion product.

Huh? The title doesn't say all preorders are cancelled. That should be obvious

Edit: I'll ask a mod add "some" though

I would have upgraded my LEGO1 if the $1349 SKU was priced at the level of the lowest SKU( I think $1099?). But at these prices I'll just wait till next summer when the discounts start. I got my LEGO1 summer 2024 on sale so I can wait it out......

That big OLED screen is everything you want in a handheld screen. Looks like a lot of people feel the same way.

You left out the part that matters to everyone, that big, VRR, OLED screen. :)

Still, for a device that was supposed to be dead on arrival according to some here, not having enough units to meet demand shows what I already knew, they don't expect or need it to sell 100,000,000s of units to be successful.

The Legion Go subreddit has some posts about their preorders getting canceled. Some users were able to preorder via Lenovo with a 10% discount.

Yea why don't they ever include numbers for these type of news

OMG the Go 2 only had a 5,000 unit production run! It's a total piece of shit compared to a real product like the Switch 2 which has millions of units produced, of course there's shortages!!!

Getting in line for the BB Open Box now. :messenger_squinting_tongue:

Regardless of production run, this is insane IMO. This just gave ASUS a free ride to up the Xbox Ally price.

It's not the performance improvement. The improved ergonomics of the new controllers is a big deal; the OLED, VRR, native landscape display are huge, double the ram is huge, and the drivers will be coming directly from AMD for the LEGO2, as opposed to Lenovo themselves having to push out the drivers for the original. That's why the drivers were always many many months behind. I mean, Lenovo just released the July 2025 graphics driver this month, and the one prior to that was like, the december 2024 driver?

For LEGO owners, it's a relatively small upgrade to performance, but realistically, under the hood, there are a ton of really big quality of life changes that make this overall a MUCH better device.

I bought a Legion laptop once and never again. They don't release updates as soon as the warranty is finished. At the very least release security updates for the motherboard and chipset drivers. Dell and HP will keep pumping updates even after the warranty ends.

I also do take offense at the idea they would take the initiative to return my money and cancel my pre-order because the product would not arrive in time.

Why not let me use the option I should already have to cancel my order at any point if it hasn't shipped? Doesn't that seem so much more logical? Like if I pre-ordered the fucking thing, it's because I want it, and just because it's not arriving on launch day doesn't mean I stopped wanting it. Ugh, that logic always pisses me off. Just let me pay for something and whenever it's ready, 2 weeks, 2 months, or a year later, send it to me. Of course, I reserve the right to cancel it at any time and/or return it, but the last thing I want to do is have to spend more time finding another place to order it again, when I've already done that.

No one gets it! Consoles and devices are always such a PITA to order at launch.

The LEGO is my favorite device. It has got me back into gaming in a huge way. The deck went to the wife.

The only thing that will make me upgrade:
- OLED
- thinner / lighter form factor
- improved battery
- 50% performance uplift

That's the only way to justify 1K+.
