What does a native landscape screen mean? What was it before?
I wouldn't bet on screenshots like these to tell us anything. these images are almost always photoshopped with the screen contents added in post.
so they could have just reused a screenshot they made for something else
1000 nits in small highlights. So how can it be "1000 true black" and 500 nits at the same time?
True, but I would be shocked if it didn't have a Steam OS version.
they already had the Legion Go S that runs SteamOS. so I'd assume if they made another SteamOS one they'd for one don't release it this soon after their first one, and also call it Legion Go S2 or something along those lines.
Will this have the same specs as the ROG Ally Xbox X with zen 2 processor?
Looks great, that screen is
But personally I'm more interested in the inevitable Legion GO S2.

500 nits is 100% APL (average picture level), as in the average brighness of the full screen. For 1000 True Black certification you only need 500 nits at 100% APL and 1000 nits for 10% APL.So how can it be "1000 true black" and 500 nits at the same time?
not exactly.
the Xbox Ally X has a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, while this one has the normal Ryzen Z2 Extreme. so no NPU in the APU.
thanks to the ai variant and its NPU, the Xbox Ally X will eventually get Auto SR support, which is Microsoft's AI upscaler.
not a huge loss however, since Auto SR, at least in its current form, is adding a full frame of latency to the game.
they are working on Auto SR 2, which is what the Xbox Ally X will get, but not sure how that's different to the current one.
1920x1200 versus 1920×1080. So more vertical pixels. What does a native landscape screen mean? What was it before?
Prob same giga hands used to model "the Duke"That thing looks HUGE!!!!

The screen looks too big? . handheld too big
there is no way this is an 8 inch screen device.
This is pretty spicey indeed. The specs look really good.
I am kind of tempted but without FSR4 and with somewhat minor gains from OG Ally Z1E, it's just not worth it even if I do sell my Ally (after eBay fees it would be like $300 net).
Still, that's great looking hardware, especially so if you don't have another handheld.
Rumors are $1100 and up! Europe would probably be €1099 or even €999 and up since no tariffs.Amazing spec, I really like my gen 1 go. That said, if this thing is $900 plus like I anticipate, it's an easy skip for gen 1 owners.
I really like that 8.8" OLED. The smart thing to do is of course to wait till AMD's next gen UDNA handhelds are out but that's going to be like 2027.Probably 8.8 inch like the first one
That screen is awesome looking, but I really don't like having all those buttons that I'll never use underneath my hand on the grip. Give me Go S 2 with OLED and I'm there
Legion Go 2?

Resist the temptation and wait for the next Steamdeck.
HDR brightness measurements are given based on a 10% window. This is the industry standard everywhere. All TV's HDR brightness specs are quoted using this standardSo how can it be "1000 true black" and 500 nits at the same time?
In US I am thinking more.Wonder what the price will be? Guessing $1,000.

Yeah, and the worst part is that you are getting performance that's maybe 10-15% over Z1E with still FSR3.x.min $1k. Possibly as high as $1200?
