Let's play a game.

I know life can feel heavy, and sometimes it's easy to get lost in the shadows, but all shadows exist because of the light. In that spirit, I thought we could play a little game of positive thinking. You don't have to feel positive to play, but it might help you feel that way if you do.

The idea is that one poster will post a "negative" scenario, and the following poster has the job of seeing what good could come from such circumstances. Use your imagination and let the positive narrative flow naturally and with a bit of sincerity, if you don't mind.

And then the same poster will post a negative situation for the following poster to re-frame.

Here's an example to start us. They can be really heavy or relatively trivial. It's up to you.

Negative scenario: The corona virus ultimately is devastating economically in addition to significant loss of human life. The status-quo is upended and there is great global uncertainty and dread.

Re-frame : With the passage of time, humanity learns that nothing of real value was lost other than some creature comforts and a false sense of security. As a result, the world "shrinks" and we come together in a way that has been missing for so long and we regain that sense of interconnectedness and community that we have been lacking. Life might be less comfortable in some ways, but people are ultimately happier than they've ever been, on the whole.

**********************************************************************************************

Ok that's an example. Here is the scenario for the first poster to re-frame in a positive light.

Scenario: You've been wrongly accused of a crime you did not commit and subsequently sentenced to life in prison.

Scenario: You've been wrongly accused of a crime you did not commit and subsequently sentenced to life in prison.

Going into prison with no chance of release I realized I could either wither away in misery or become a positive force for my fellow convicts who were also "wrongfully" "convicted". Growing up poor in a two room shack left me with a very narrow skillset. One skill I had become quite proficient at was shoe repair.

I saw myself as a fantastic cobbler.

I noticed that the other inmates were walking around with shoes in a deplorable state. The commissary would charge two, sometimes three times the cost of a regular pair of shoes. Yet another example of the man holding us down. The other option was to find a pair of brown market shoes smuggled in anally but that was a dangerous proposition.

For eons prisoners have used everyday materials to make stabbing weapons and trash bag wine and other McGuyver'd objects using what they could. I set for to become the prisons local cobbler, using whatever I could find, to help the inmates out. Everyone deserves to have comfy shoes. Soon enough my shoes were well known. I worked for free, the joy and smiles I brought to the faces of these convicts were payment enough. I had completely transformed the overall mood of the prison and we all lived happily ever after.

---- I still feel like I'm doing this wrong. I did, however, use anuses in the story to a more realistic effect this go around right?

Ok here is my negative scenario

Your friend convinces you to go all in on a stock with him. You dump every free asset you have into this stock hoping for a big return. The next day the corona virus hits and everything is wiped away.

---- is this being done correctly this time?

synchronicity synchronicity how about you make a few example posts? Like 4 posts so that we can see how is this supposed be played.

Don't over think it. Just take the negative situation of the last poster and find the (potential) positive in it. And then throw out a negative situation of your own for the next poster to see with a positive outlook.

You're all good. :) I'm glad you were still able to use anuses in your narrative. :p
