Level-5 announces "Level-5 World" event

If the event's going to have demo booths, expect huge lines of kids (and fujoshi) lining up to play the Inazuma Eleven Go demo.

I doubt Sony would say no.

Who knows?

But considering Dark Cloud was from a time when Level-5 wasn't publishing their own titles, I imagine they aren't interested in making other peoples games anymore.

Level-5 has six (?) 3DS games, I wouldn't expect more, lol.

And I think Hino would prefer to support PS3 instead of Vita. Same price (or slightly cheaper) bigger userbase, already proven as a nice third-party platformer, etc.

White Knight Chronicles?

Prepare for a slew of titles that are gonna go through years of development hell! I really want more news about Layton vs Phoenix though...

Ni No Kuni PS3, Wright vs Layton footage and Japan + USA announcemet, Time Traveler and Fantasy Life announcements, and..... Dark Cloud 3 teaser, and they will be company of the gen.

But really ANY of that would be great.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was more Sony approaching them than the other way around.

And I'm not suggesting that they'll completely stop making games for other publishers, but they're clearly expanding their self-publishing business.

I 3DS is supposed to be their main-plattform for the next years i wouldnt be suprised to see more titles - though they probably wont announce them till next year.

Layton on WiiU would be kinda awesome.

Is this game ever coming to the western world? I feel like it was announced years ago..
Seems like the DS version isn't, due to not doing fantastic in Japan and the production requirements for the book.
As for the PS3 version, probably.

550K in Japan isn't that bad ;-)

Overall, no, but it limped there with major price reductions and was initially pretty overstocked given the large physical size. I'd say it was more of a marginal success than a breakout hit.

Agree, shipment was said to be 600K.
Still a number that can rarely be achieved by other major japanese publishers.

Hino wanted it to be their next million seller and it was heavily over shipped. (first shipment was 600k and its price was slashed quite heavily). While it's certainly not a bad number, it didn't meet expectation.

Edit: Beaten :/

level 45 generally only announce their own games at these events though, titles made for sony would likely be saved for a TGS reveal, With WKC done they likely have something else in the works though yeah.

didnt they spent a huge amount of money advertising it too? I seem to remember it having multiple tv ads

Anything for the West... Seriously, they will announce the game, launch them in Japan next year and if we see them in the west it'll months and months...... Why do they do this? Just look at WKC and WKC2 as the most recent examples.....

Both those games were published by Sony, so it's up to them if and when they're localised.

Admittedly they've taken a long while with the Layton games, and Inazuma Eleven is only just coming out in Europe, but now that they're building up their US presence so they can do their own localisations, things should hopefully improve.

Teaser site is open

I'm not sure what the last one is either, but I am guessing it's the gundam age kid.

Second one is the kid from the Fantasy Life trailer.

Looks like the blue haired kid I guess:

Looking at it, it's definitely the same hairstyle as the new main character for Inazuma Eleven GO.

Does anyone think the ps3 version of Ni No Kuni might be ported to the wii u? The ps3 version still doesn't have an American release date and Hino would definitely like to see the game sell more/become more popular. The visuals are a natural fit for Nintendo hardware, the cartoon aspect would help it appeal to Nintendo consumers, and the wii u pad would be great for the spell casting and battle controls. Really, I just want to see this happen.

Has anyone played the new Layton game for the 3DS? I think right now it's only available in Japan, but just wondering..

I will be purchasing it in a couple hours from now, but I thought it would be nice to hear some opinions beforehand :P

Yeah, it's nearly 4AM here and I'm confusing the designs, haha. Second last boy is from Inazuma, I have no clue about the last one.

So to Level 5 "announce" means show previously announced game? I guess I'm cool with that.

Yeah, I think I read at Andriasang once that in the Japanese games industry "announce" also means to show off new info about a game. Level-5 just falls into this particularly hard because they have a tendency to make an initial announcement of a game long, long in advance of its actual release - so when next year's event rolls around, they "announce" it with actual information.

Personally, I'm wondering if Capcom wants to show off PLvsAA at TGS rather than wait for Level-5 World - they usually have a pretty strong TGS presence, and they usually show off the latest Ace Attorney game there (they even showed off Apollo Justice - not Gyakuten Saiban 4 - one year when there wasn't any new Japanese-language game in the pipe.)

Level-5 is both developing and publishing Layton/Wright, so it's probably not Capcom's call as to where and how to show it off.
