Lies of P Gamescom 2022 gameplay trailer

Happy You Good GIF

My first Soulslike was Jedi Fallen Order, technically. But mostly it was Elden Ring. And I'm lovin it!
I mean that is great and all. FPS genre had a similar time where it was in overabundance. Just another trend in gaming. If you enjoy the games then play them. I know I will be playing this one unless reviews come out saying that it is trash.

By far the most interesting game of the bunch, looks like it's inspired by Bloodborne while being focused on a retrofuturistic/steampunk setting. Looks like the player will be fighting all sorts of archaic robots and even androids, as hinted with the female statue holding a humanoid robot.

Best thing out of that shitty show. Game looks great, kinda tired of souls clones but this one looks the closest to From's quality so far imo.

One of the few things that looked decent from the event.

These Souls-like games are generally trash but the visuals and gameplay in this actually look pretty solid. There seems to be some nice feedback to your attacks which already elevates it above 99% of souls clones.

It doesnt look half as lived-in or rotten and dark and tarnished as From games do. It looks a bit too shiny, and with pretty similar looking assets to other games like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Bloodborne. But the game might still be great.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. If the game is fun and holds up, sounds like Fromsoft's kicked off the next big thing.

Gamers rejoice!

I don't mean it as a bad thing, it is just the closest and most immediate visual comparison I get when looking at it.

Damn, the first souls-like with actual atmosphere. They've got my attention at least. Setting and combat looks good so far.

I caught the video in the middle the first time and was confused when Geppetto called him "son". I could have sworn the MC was a girl. He makes Aloy look like an ogre lol.

Anyways, good stuff.

Ok i'm gonna say it, artstyle wise, this is more interesting than elden ring ever looked in all of his trailers...maybe it's because i love steampunk\marionettes over medieval themes, elden ring always looked like ds4, this one look a bit more original (with a clear BB aura tho)

Fight me.

Finally a game where you get to control a Timmy Chalamet look-a-like. Millions of copies sold already.

But seriously, this looks great. AA games have a bright future with this gen tech.

what I really like is they toned down those obnoxious blood effects seen in the previous trailer, overall it looks much better and I'm booking time off for this.

This looked so stunning.
I was dying to see more gameplay of this.

Sold sold sold sold.
If this is getting a physical release imma cop it even if its coming to Gamepass day one.
