Life is Strange | Spoiler Thread

Speaking of the kiss, Chloe pulled away before it landed though I've seen a pic of the kiss actually connecting. Just a fake or did anyone else get the kiss to connect?

I'm pretty sure Chloe pulled away a second or two after the kiss landed in my playthrough, but I could be wrong on that. I did agree with or go along with Chloe on pretty much every opportunity.

Oh does she? I must have missed that.

I think you find them if you search her jacket. There somewhere in her room in the morning.

So in this interview one of the co-directors says that Kate's suicide could also have consequences in episode 4, I guess this means that
Kate is alive in the new timelime which would make simply reverting the changes even more difficult for Max.

Can someone tell me where is the last computer password for the family tab ?

There's the receipt from the day he met Joyce in the car, The tape from his parents on the shelf, and a picture that says stepdad on it in one of the drawers (I think, not entirely sure I remember where the stepdad password was).

I'm not getting the Chloe/Max vibe. Max comments on "cute guys" etc all the time (not to say she cant like both).
[...]
I didn't notice this. Who does she mention? Maybe this is different on how you play.
I though it was interesting though that in this episode she talks about Warren and you could make a direct choice with one answer where she seemed interested in him and 'gross!' as another :D
Right now I would tend to Chloe as probably bi and Max seems undecided/could be either way.

You can check her wallet with two condoms in it when you're at her place.

Thank you, I missed the receipt even after I already checked it that place.

Is there a downside to not making the dog go play in traffic? The hell I was going to do that to the poor dog. But Max made some remark about the dog maybe coming back because she didn't throw the bone far, so I rushed my way through RV and didn't even notice the gun was there until I viewed the choices.

Well he was barking at the the truck as you and Chloe were leaving which led to Frank seeing you. I imagine that will come into play in a future episode.

If you look at the red beret in the lost and found outside the principal office Max will make a comment that the guy who owns it is poetically cute. I think there may have been another instance in episode 3 but don't remember where it might have been.

Oh cool, I totally missed that.

One thing that got me to raise an eyebrow -- Victoria owning a scale figure. Secret nerd underneath her high fashion bitchiness.

BTW, I am the poster child for completely missing twists and foreshadowing, but when the last "new future" photo showed Chloe getting her keys, I immediately said to myself, "oh crap, she's totally going to get in a car accident."

Which is weird because she didn't had any when her dad was dead and she was drinking alcohol and taking weeds. I mean she cared less for her life back then.
I hope it's not a ying and yang theory : the world need balance so if you save someone you will someone else.

Ep 1 : 7/10
Ep 2 : 6/10 (me an Chloe didn't clicked together)
Ep 3 : 6/10 (I was expecting more a Ghost trick version but instead I got Stein gate)

WTF is up with that ending! :O

Also Lol at the 80% making Max kiss Chloe xD Screw Warren.

I don't know...Warren is creepy. He even makes photo montages to pretend to be closer to Max and hides them in his locker.

Regarding the kiss: You can talk to Chloe afterwards. I tried both possibilities. When I didn't let Max kiss her Chloe jokes that Max already kissed her and then used her power to rewind.

When I chose to let Max kiss Chloe, Chloe said something like "Don't you dare to rewind.".

The latter choice seemed more natural to me during my playthrough.

And Warren...no..,

I was going to rewind after kissing Chloe because the kiss itself was so awkward, but when the little "your choice will have a consequence" butterfly showed up in the corner I got curious enough to leave it as is.

I am also on that poster and I also thought the exact same thing.

Straight A student knows his chemistry? SHOCKER!!
You guys are way too hard on Warren. He's socially awkward and that's it

Also, we are officially in Doctor Who territory with that ending... a depressing version anyway

I like it because of how unquestionable her changing that part of the past was.

And yeah, Warren's a nice guy. Max's attitude toward him kind of annoys me though, she seem to be leaving him to dangle or slowly feel the burn of figuring it out alone. Let him go or actually follow through and see that movie with him.

I just can't decide if it be more trope-y to have him be a "bad guy" or to have him be the "good guy".

Bad guy he'll get mad at Max for not liking him and possibly attack her.

Good guy will continue to be awkward and Max continue to be oblivious to his affection.

Best outcome for Warren is some sort of self-sacrifice where he uses his last breathe to finally tell Max he loves her.

The writers are walking a fine line with Victoria, mostly making her awful but occasionally glimmers of humanity pop out. They don't even bother with people like Nathan and David, who are both pieces of human garbage. I wish they'd lower the histrionics a tad because it's hard to take the characters seriously when they're depicted so broadly.

I thought Dave got a small glimpse of humanity when you talk to him in the school in episode 2, but other than that, he just comes across as a paranoid jackass.

I don't think they're walking a fine line with Victoria at all. Don't see why the character has fans except for a couple biting lines of dialogue. She hasn't had many more human moments than David has. I suspect David's heart is more in the right place than hers.

I didn't feel bad about defending David though, Chloe blows up way too much
Somehow I feel we won't actually telling Chloe that her dad has to die for the universe to correct itself
I just hope they portray Alternate-Chloe as a regular kid and not some stereotypical perfect angel

EDIT:

Alyssa is Jesus in disguise and because Max helps her 5 times in 5 episodes, he will turn her into a guardian angel ... or not

Just finished Episode 3. Got misty-eyed. This game is getting really crazy. Can't say I saw the very end coming.

EDIT: Looking at the checklist, it looks like I missed out on a few things this time. It also says I didn't leave a mark on the fireplace even though I did. Perhaps I rewinded too far. I have a feeling that's going to be crucial too. :(

I also fed Kate's bunny... OH GAWD!
Dat bunny is gonna get fat and explode!!! ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!

EDIT: Also with the kiss, I felt like Max took it less seriously then Chloe, like more along the lines of harmless flirting or just being playful; attempting to surprise Chloe, just like how she jumped scared Max towards the start of the game. Not sure about Chloe though, she seems more conflicted about it. IDK, sorta "testing the waters".

For a moment I thought a tsunami was happening at the end, a big wave in the background and the water strongly receding from the beach just before we cut to the next shot.

Damn, what an ending.

Ok, Fuck, i knew things were getting out of hand the moment she traveled this far back in time...
It's also interesting to see how she will handle going back to the original time line. I mean as bad as it is for Chloe, she and her Dad are alive, so it's not exactly an easy decision to just revert back...and "kill" her father again.....And just going back to the Chloes supposedly accident would just fuck the timeline up even more.

We will probably just learn about a few clues and maybe meet Rachel in this timeline before we go back...hmm hmm hmm
I love the game, but i'm not really sure i like this change, since we had absolutely no choice in what's happening at the end. Or did we? I would have never changed something that far back.

Oh yeah and i killed my plant. And now that she is dead i started to kill Kates bunny.

What's the explanation behind the dead animals? Does Max's power only affect the Earth which somehow messes up the alignment with the Moon, causing changes in tides and the dead whales? What about the other animals like the birds?

It was a natural progression to go from rewinding time for a bit to stopping time to travelling back many years, so it wasn't too unexpected. The dark turn was though. We'll probably be seeing her go to the future.

I bet the story behind Rachel is going to be a mindfuck, like her actually being Max from a different timeline or something.

It is basically a sign of impending doom - that has not an explained fully. Although it is worse in Timeline 2 (dead whales are worse than birds)

IMO, the new timeline is much worse. The OG timeline has issues, with birds/fish, but the new timeline has much bigger problems.

Old Timeline

New Timeline

fPvL5iml.jpg

I understood this as an effect of Max time alteration. Small time travel : small disturbance : small animals showing up dead : clear indicator that you shoudn't mess with natural order.

But when max forks an major event 4 years prior that, leading to a very different timeline, and all the changes that will follow, she messes with natural order : no more small birds but now the biggest animals on the planet end up dead ashore.

That's that.

Just finished it holy crap at that ending, I wonder if they'll find some way to back pedal it and go back to the old timeline or if this is what we're stuck with now.

I wonder what the big deal was about kissing Chloe, they presented it in the same way that they present the really important choices

also why does Nathan keep thinking I told the principal on him when I didn't?

I've found myself not rewinding choices / conversations as much this episode. Like I usually try every option but time it's seemed obvious.

I have never wanted the next episode as badly as I do after finishing ep. 3. That ending, God damn! I wasn't expecting her to go so far back in time at all to make such a major change. Don't think anything will tide me over that well until it hits.

Also, Chloe looks kind of weird with her normal hair o_O

As soon as I got thrown back in time to save the dad I KNEW it would have a huge butterfly effect. You can't mess with the timeline, Max, the effects could be huge.

Still felt good to save him, though. Seemed like a cool dad. Made me miss my own.

But why in this way? That's what I don't understand.

DAT ENDING

FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

God, that game!!
Can't wait what happens next...

Fun fact: Since she warped to a time with a polaroid, she has now a lot of chances to go and spy whenever she wants - just look at her polaroid wall in the dorm.

Oh and btw: #TeamChloeBlueHair
