I finished episode 3 on the day it came out and I still find myself thinking about it, I think I'm going to play them all over again and make different choices, I just need Ep. 4 in my life right now...

I've been replaying some portions of the game and I'm still finding new shit, I'm actually tempted to replay the entire game.

When I finished the game, only 7% of people threw the stick into the road. I was one of them.

I guess I have an easy time disassociating reality from fiction. My line of thinking was, get rid of this dog now so it can't rip my throat out in the future. They had already mentioned that it had probably been trained to attack.

My motivation for not throwing it there was to not give Frank any more reasons to kill me in the future though.

Didn't seem like he was even aware you were going through his trailer though. Although, I'm sure they will reveal that he figured it out.

What about Frank? He won't take kindly to you killing his dog. If you let the dog live Frank knows you were the ones in his trailer. Does he not figure it out when you kill the dog?

I keep making the effort to reverse time a lot whenever I go through these snooping sequences.

Although in this case, Max took that book with her, so that effort was kinda wasted.

Excuses!

Also, I've been playing this game without thinking of consequences too much. Who cares if Frank comes at me? I can reverse time. Haha. Maybe I shouldn't think that way, considering the end of episode 2.

Oh myyyy gaaawwwwddd.

So I imagine DNOD is sitting on the last two episode scripts right as we speak. I need that shit to leak, like yesterday.

No, you don't. No you absolutely don't because I do not want those scripts to leak for the love of Jesus and spoilers. Fucking no.

Usually I'd agree. But this episode left me feeling like I'm awaiting the next chapter in a book series I like. Got that hunger.

The good thing is though, is that DNOD isn't Telltale. So it won't (hopefully) be forever and a day before the series gets finished.

I also rewind a lot in snooping scenes. I was having trouble figuring out how to hide the keys, and was having to rewind a half dozen times. During those attempts I had discovered and done a bunch of stuff like mark up the fireplace and taking a photo. I didn't notice I had undone them by rewinding until I saw the post credits results - kinda bummed about that.

Just beat Episode 2, man that was an intense episode from the junk yard to trying to save Kate (I couldn't!)

Also this game's perfect for remote play.

Can't wait to play Episode 3.

Get out of the spoiler thread then, you definitely don't want that spoiled for you

I expected every situation to have a Samuel jump scare. Am I the only one?

Haha I totally was expecting him to be in the maintenance closet at night, just standing behind you when you enter.

"Hello Max.... My spirit animal is the squirrel....."

"Ahhhhhh!!!!"

Argh I totally missed some stuff in the end, like getting the gun in the RV and writing on the fire place. I might have to replay that part again.

Episode 3 's ending was brilliant, but man, I hate Chloe. Feels like the devs think she's super cool, but actually she's just horrendously obnoxious.

I can't decide if I've played this the wrong way or not. I played through ep 1 as if Max was a real person, so I didn't really snoop around or look st everything I could interact with.

Example: I ignored the pregnancy test since hell, that's definitely not my business, and I didn't rummage through everything in Chloe's house, even though there seems to be a big load of stuff that would be interesting to know.

I think I'll go back and do those things on another save file, and do every first playthrough of upcoming eps like I did ep 1.
You have played it the wrong way. :(

Btw I want to give props to Dontnod for not having us do the dumb thing of trying to pick of the chlorine or whatever it was by trying to pick up the weed killer, drop it clumsily, rewind and then use a chair. Instead straight to the "C'mon, you know you're gonna drop it, just use the damn chair and spare the time travel."

Chloe is a huge pain in the ass and I don't understand why anyone likes her.

Being able to tell her to grow the hell up this episode was great. I hope that's a sign that we'll be able to not side with her more often and that Max has just been reluctant to scold her old friend for the first couple days.

Chloe is a very good character. She's an extremely flawed individual. It's obvious that the loss of her dad hit her hard and she never got over it and it causes her to be highly emotional, confrontational, and self centered much of the time. I think seeing her relationship with her dad in the past though really made me sympathetic for her. Her having abandonment issues is absolutely justified, and Max is partially to blame for that.

But maybe I just have a thing for broken characters in fiction. I can deal with a lot of bullshit from people if I see that they've suffered severe emotional trauma to get there and especially if I think that I can help them get past it.

I sometimes want to replay an episode when I miss some things I didn't notice like marking the fireplace or other small things like that. Can't believe my plant died though. Thought I kept it alive.

I also found out that you can hide different places when you are in the school. I've enjoyed setting up some stuff so I can potentially gain from it in the future. Like stealing the gun to give back to Chloe after I had mentioned to Frank that David wants it.

Oh yeah, I've seen/heard some people mention that they think it takes place in college and use that David Madsen line as proof but I'm like 99% positive it is a high school. Isn't it?

Seems pretty clear to me that it's a boarding high school. I can't imagine too many college campuses that would impose a strict curfew or give everyone lockers. Also, science classes are usually split into lectures and labs, no?

It's a high school. I went to a boarding high school, and it's overall operation and facilities were pretty similar to Blackwall Academy.

Samuel seems like such an obvious suspect that I'm going with red herring. He probably just likes pretty things.

Given he seems a bit challenged I think they might go for the trope of having him be more in the know that people would think, but I don't think he's a perpetrator.

Because it looked like bribe money. We already know he takes bribes. What is a "handicap fund" doing in a brown envelope in his desk drawer?

It looked like the handicap fund to me, ya know, because it said on the envelope and all. Who's to say what Blackwell's policy is on storing funds for things.

Hey guys! So yesterday I got this amazing game and I just binge played through all of it. <3

I do love small details that might be unnoticed like the small "sidequests" to get the secret photographs, Dana's pregnancy test and abortion or the homeless lady behind the Diner. The latter has become my favourite character from the game <3

The ending to this last episode completely reminded me of that alternative timeline in The Butterfly Effect where the main character manages to get the best outcome for all the people surrounding him
except for himself, as he lost both arms and legs in the accident that triggered everything.

I guess we'll get some moral debate on what should Max choose and
revert back to reality. In the process we might be able to see Rachel for the first time, now that Max has the power to access past photographs. We'll see.

Re: Moral Choices: This is the first time in a game that lets you make somewhat important decisions that I've chosen some... morally equivocous choices. Just wanted to push Max's boundaries a bit.

I'm a bit suspicious about this handicapped fund, too. 5000 doesn't seem like a lot to install handicapped friendly equipment.

Add to the fact that Chloe reads about the Principal being bribed to clean Nathan's academic record and change his grades. Yeah, I'm sure it's no "handicapped fund".

Samuel is transgender/transvestite? or maybe just a creep

You know I've been racking my brain about Samuel because I think him being a creep is a tad too obvious, he has girl stuff laying around and is a strangely harmless/passive individual very much into free spirit things.
So you suggesting that just clicked with me in a way that makes all of the Samuel stuff make sense to me.

I bet he is wanting to be a woman, and maybe it was something only Rachel knew, so they got along well.

By the way, how do you think Chloe ended that way in Ep3? I mean, the pictures totally mislead you, so I guess it's something that didn't happen right away.

We do see Chloe getting a new car in one of those "new timeline" photos, so she might have gotten herself into a similar accident as the one that took her father's life.

I really hope they don't pull "It was actually the janitor guy that did it!" feels so cheap
would like to learn more about samuel

I figured Samuel was just collecting little knick-knacks and stuff as he went around cleaning. Never suspected him of anything except being weird and aloof but surprisingly smart about certain things. I'd hate it if he was somehow related to the incidents.

After playing episode 3 I am wishing that I accused David instead of Nathan since I had the photo proof. But I did get him kicked out of his home

Nathan/ David/ Janitor will all be innocent, the Photo teacher is it, he even bypassed sex favors, that's the biggest sign.

Tbh how Jefferson was so callous to Kate, the implications of a relationship between with him and Rachel, and him being shown as sooooo cool and good, I definitely feel like hes might be a bad dude.
