"Like a one man human centipede"

Hey guys, not sure if this was answered but when the console bricked were you guys downloading a patch for the game or for the system?

This is the first time I have ever heard a console brick because it installed a game update.

This isn't so much a hardware failure as it was user error, it would appear.

Lesson: Do NOT unplug your console while it's on and doing shit. If it won't shut off when you press the power button, it's doing something important and preventing you from shutting it down. Be patient.

That's absurd, it should still work. Companies should make these devices idiot proof to an extent. It's not like he was downloading a system update.

Oh good to know, definitely puts some of my fears to rest.

Hoping he's getting enough profit from his live stream to just buy another PS4. Would be hilarious if he's trolling.

Maybe he should consult the almighty Doritos Taco Bell tacos.

I thought it froze while he was installing and then he unplugged it. Not sure how that's user error.

Unfortunate.

He's been trying for the last few hours and he sounds like a broken man :(

I would probably feel the same.

Edit: The chat inception is gold

Well its the people that freak for no reason. Technology will never work with 0% failure rates, there will always be errors when creating these by the millions.

My thoughts exactly. There are only a few thousand out there currently, and a handful of reports. Now if a significant portion are still bricking when there are actually millions out there, then it's caused for concern. Until then, I'm not panicking.

He said it froze, but he's also said he was trying to shut it down and it wouldn't respond to the power button so he yanked the plug.

He hasn't clarified what happened that made him do that.

Not saying it is or is not his fault, but based on what I've been watching, the guy's not a tech-savvy person and based on what he has said, it sounds like he just pulled the plug on the thing while it was doing a background install.

I really need to stop watching this. I just can't stop though.
