"Like a one man human centipede"

LOL, THIS IS SO HILARIOUS.

OK so it seems like the HDD got corrupted because the idiot unplugged it while it was updating.

Formating it will solve his problem. He just doesn't have another computer.

Someone needs to tell him to get an SATA cable because he can use it to plug into his laptop and boot Linux from USB to format the drive.

The only thing blown out of proportion is the opportunity for trolls on this stream.

Or are you referring to the people who are seriously worried that a few pre-launch PS4s with differing issues indicates a massive problem to come?

This one, 7 possible dead units is pretty good out of the thousands in the wild. People don't scream to high heavens when shit works, only when it goes bad, so it's pointless to extrapolate far reaching production issues out of this.

Neogaf is full of FUD.

Replacing the HDD does not void the warranty. The thing was built to allow that. Some of y'all will parrot anything.

The bandwagon stupidity I canNOT

Poor guy, I actually feel sorry for him.

He was clearly nervous and his hands were shaking, he probably didn't even "got it" that he gave personal information to a lot of people. Getting a PS4 Day one and having such issues like that is sad, hoping for the best for everyone else no matter if they are in NA or Europe. I hope I can get mine on November 29th but I don't want NA to beta test it, I want NA to have great fun and post their impressions, pick-ups and so on. Despite all this, great times are coming indeed and I can only wish the very best to us all. Can't wait!

Oh god, why don't you sit under a rainbow and write a poem?

lol jk, good post. South park humor :)

I said this earlier in the thread.

Where do I claim my reward?

So yeah, system itself is totally fine. He corrupted his HDD by unplugging the system during a game download/install.

That's good to know.

Haha, finally he took it out and it worked. This guy must be new to troubleshooting, I guess being a PC gamer for awhile got me into the habit of individually removing parts to find the error.

I'm sure, if others have gotten it, they may not have posted about it.

That's why I said 20 and not 5. Hell if it's 10 times the number that's 50 out of 4k is a 1.25% failure rate. 100 out of is a 2.5%. All still within reason. By the stream it sounds like a harddrive failure anyway. No big deal.

Yeah, absolutely. Plus 3-5% failure rate is pretty common in modern electronics manufacture.
