"Like a one man human centipede"

Well, if you can get it to boot that far with no HDD at all, the solution is simple: Wipe the removed HDD before putting it back in. The system is designed to accept a blank hard drive.

Exactly.

Aren't downloads and installs one in the same on the PS4? It starts downloading and you can begin playing after a short amount of time, so it's caching data to the HDD. Unplugging the system while it's doing this could obviously cause some corruption. There should be some sort of safeguard in case of power outages, etc, which may be why the system won't respond to the power button when it's doing this stuff in the background.

PS360 would restore original files there. It wasn't even a system update? It looks like it died before he turned it off.

Uproar over nothing.

Lesson: don't unplug or turn off PS4s for any reason while games or system updates are performing installs (games do so upon starting).

LOL, THIS IS SO HILARIOUS.

OK so it seems like the HDD got corrupted because the idiot unplugged it while it was updating.

Formating it will solve his problem. He just doesn't have another computer.

Someone needs to tell him to get an SATA cable because he can use it to plug into his laptop and boot Linux from USB to format the drive.

So it ended up being his fault and he was being such a dick to the customer rep :/.

aaaaaaaahahahahahahahhah, he's going to be up and running

he will have 5k viewers to show off his PS4

hope he keeps streaming
