Tried to update DCUO again, it bricked again due to lack of reformating

You guys do know sata HDD's are hot swappable so there would be no issue with removing it or plugging it back on unless it was writing data but its clearly not doing anything.

This only is true if your specific SATA controller supports it AND if you are booting into RAID or it is specifically enabled in the AHCI firmware.
