Little things that piss you off big time on forums.

Threads with a "What's your favorite....' or "Which character has the worst......" or "Who do you think is the greatest...." title, and the replies have nothing but images.

DESCRIBE IT People!!!! Some of us don't know what you're referencing!!!

If only people would remember names and avatars.

List threads. I don't give a shit what top 100 movies you like.
Usually read the first couple and then skim the rest and say "fuck it".

People who quote a poster just to insult them over a spelling/grammar mistake and add nothing else to the post. Fuck you, there are people on this forum (and others) who have English as their second or even third language so it's understandable if there are a few mistakes. How many languages can you speak as you are insulting someone just because of a spelling/grammar mistake? Bet it's just the one.

Junior bashing. I tend to find it more common here when compared to other forums. I understood junior bashing when forums and the internet were new, it was like a club or someshit. But the internet and forums are old now, so someone registered recently, no need to be a tit, especially when it's used to try and devalue their opinion.

When, anywhere on the internet, someone shares something, and some asshole has to respond "I saw it on Reddit first." I see it on my facebook all the time. Congratufuckinglations. You saw something before someone else. Reddit didn't invent it. Shut the fuck up and add something beneficial to the conversation next time.

threads starting with 'am i the only person' for things where said person really obviously isn't the only person who feels x way. like 'am i the only person who thinks rich people should pay more tax', as an example.

The use of "mang" disproportionatly irritates the shit out of me. Why expend the energy to make an extra keystroke that only serves to make you look like a barely literate jackass.

To a lesser extent "got damn." Unless you're speaking German, in which case I believe it is "gott."

This. I have a small handful of GAF people on my ignore list and they're all there because of that nonsense.

Also, avatars with characters from any of these things: anime, MGS, JRPGs. I guess they dont "piss me off big time" but they annoy me.

Nothing pisses me off, because i don't really care what random anonymous people on internet forums think or say.

I do get mildly annoyed at all the "HURR ANIMU IS SHIT" though.

People with underscores in their screen_names. It's not 1980, we have moved on from DOS, use a spacebar you twat!
People that associate underscores with DOS.

When you're hindered by an 8-character filename limit, underscores just compound the problem.

Okay this isn't an actual annoyance but I'm pretty sure DOS filenames tended to not use underscores unless it was for a reason.

I always liked on Smogon, how Hipmonlee will sign every single posts with "Have a Nice Day", as if everything he says has resulted in victory.

The misuse of the term "weeaboo" in recent times, the xD emoticon and the "but I'm mature for my age though" crowd.

I'd say the people with the in general worst post grammar on this forum are people whose first language actually is English. There are a couple of bad apples from other languages obviously but far fewer than I would suspect are natively English.

English is my fourth language and I would gladly correct a your/you're every day of the week. Especially as it makes no sense as an error for someone who hasn't heard it their entire life.

People who actually get legitimately pissed about you reposting something or asking a question that was already answered on page 63 of a 200 page thread. No one actually has time to read an entire thread, and most are just skimming it.

Oh, I have another one. That stupid "Y U NO" meme. I hate it so much. But aside from the couple I mentioned, I'm not bothered by anything

So you care about what people think on the internet when it matters to you personally. Like every single other person on this forum.

Also, people who coordinate their name and avatar. I have no idea why but this annoys me to no end.

It's ironic because Tywin has a thing for asians.

People saying "First World Problems" on an internet forum. Just think about the fact that you're posting on this forum from a COMPUTER and if not that, then a fancy tablet or smartphone. Unless you are posting from a library computer or something, then probably everything you post about on GAF would be considered "First World Problems". Saying "First World Problems" to anything seems the equivalent of "Cool Story bro" to me. I saw a thread on Gaming side the other day that was something like "I won an Xbox 360, what games should I get to play on it?" and someone STILL said "First World Problems". Really? On a VIDEO GAME forum?!

You are right, DOS uses a "~" when reading a long filename. I still always use underscores for filenames though because of the web.

I guess a real annoyance is when people put spaces in filenames on the web
