Live countdown to major Persona team announcement from Atlus [Summary in OP]

Well, i actually have to do things, crazy though this is. I'll check back isvdionfv

...

Do you see that shit at the end of that sentence? Fucking Yosuke. Turning speakers off.

Anyways, see you all in an hour 30.

Have been unable to view this all day, keep getting redirected to a premium account page :(

If anyone wishes to restream it I would be very happy!

Tabris, embrace the Vita

With remote play, embrace PS4 + Vita which I both own.

I honestly don't have time when I'm out to game (don't have a long commute). Unless most of you take the train to work every day or like to game while outside, I don't understand why you would ever want a game on handheld. Especially not anymore with remote play which then allows you to play anywhere in your house.

i cannot fucking believe several hundred thousand people are watching a static screen with the word "persona" on it and chatting about it

i cannot believe i am one of them

I'm inclined to think that we might not see anything else significant until midnight again. Interesting that they've increased the intervals between events though.

Noticed that too. Dantis is pretty popular on the chat :P

I was only in chat for like five minutes, but people have mentioned this on the Community Thread.

It's pretty weird.

Fortunately we have a product for people who don't like handhelds and mobile; it's called Playstation Vita TV,

A) Not available in North America
B) Why wouldn't you want it on console (asides from the reasons listed in my above post). Console experience will ALWAYS be better than handheld (unless game is designed for handheld / mobile functionality like touchscreen).

I have a feeling P4G would have probably sold well on any platform.
Even on the Wii U? I doubt it.
Nah, I'd agree with him if they went full out with the audio. Would love to see the game take advantage of my surround system.
Audio quality is what actually pisses me off about handheld gaming. I am not the biggest fan of headphones and the quality of the speakers is usually shit. Still, I disagree with his statement.

Oh, this is the new thread, sorry but sucks if you have subscribed to threads and they just get closed without linking to the new ones.

Besides that, let's hope everyone will go out of the event with a happy face and don't let the hype die.

Wii U wasn't out yet when P4G came out, so of course it wouldn't have sold anything. ;P

Some perrvert mofos will create some hentai mod if there's PC version right?
Dunno how I'll feel to that.

LOOOOOOOOL

PC experience will ALWAYS be better than console

I turn on my console (actually just take it out of suspend) and hit X to play my game (and it resumes where I left it). Every single game is available in a closed platform with enforced aspects like communication, achievements, online handle, etc

For you to replicate that same environment with PC, you have to play only a certain set of games (if you want to play EA games, you need 2 environments). You have to have a dedicated machine just for gaming. You have to optimize it to ensure it boots up quickly right into steam full screen mode. You have to spend $500 upgrading it every couple of years. And finally you have to spend time tweaking your settings to optimize your games every time. Then hope it doesn't crash to the desktop due to development being difficult to optimize for PC due to various hardware configurations. (and before you come back and say Skyrim or BF4, note, those are PC developers that have come over to consoles)

Completely different experience. Pros and Cons. Wrong thread though for this argument.

I hope you see that someone could make a similar post about handhelds vs. consoles.

Well I think Persona is a better experience on a console as there's nothing outside of being able to play it outside that requires handheld.

So here's hoping it returns to consoles!

All persona thread always ended up to platform warz, the irony is all the game so far have both home console and portable version, sheesh.

There hasn't been a console release since Persona 4 though in the SMT series. SMT4, Persona 4 Golden, Strange Journey, etc have all been on handhelds.

Oh wait, the Persona fighter was released on consoles... but I never played it.

The music they were playing several hours made me so hyped. Does anyone know if there's a Persona music/OST radio online somewhere?

I wish they'd play more music between countdowns like they did when the countdown was offline earlier. Then I'd definitely leave it on.

Only if they throw in some Trauma Center/Trauma Team tracks in there as well. Not only because they have awesome OSTs, but also for trolling potential.

SMT X Fire Emblem X Persona X Ace Attorney X Danganronpa X Layton X Harvey Birdman

vs Street Fighter Alpha
At least we already have that thanks to the respective artists!
Since Ylisse is already in peace, Lucina decide to battle in court of law. She summoned the very legendary Phoenix Wright himself from the outrealm gate to teach her to bluff her way through every trial possible.
Handhelds are for followup ports when Atlus needs more money.
They still need money after all of that milking?
