Jonnyram, FFXI players, etc -- have any of you tried this? Is it any good? Any impressions would be great. I just found one used at a local shop for an absurdly cheap price, so I'm considering picking it up. What do you guys think?

that's by Logitech, not "Logicool"

And, yes, its very functional if you play EQOA or FFXI on PS2. Just handle the controller carefully since the analog sticks are a little more sensitive than your usual Dual Shock. This is something you don't want to drop.

It's served me well through FFXI thus far, I very much reccomend it. Heh, you can target things better than the PC users with the D-pad more often than not.

I played about a month of FFXI PS2 with one. Definitely better than a dualshock with a keyboard on the lap, but keep in mind the keyboard portion of the controller (which is actually a fully removable bonafide USB keyboard), is basically a notebook keyboard, with a few awkward key placements (ie: really make sure you're pressing 'enter')

The standard controls aren't so bad - the sticks don't have the resistance of the dualshock2, and the buttons lack much in the way of analog sensitivity, but neither matters at all for FFXI. A refreshing change from stiff Hori products.

Best Buy has these controllers on clearance I believe for only $19.99. The Keyboard alone sells for $19.99 in stores.

I have one (not for FFXI, not a player of any MMORPG), but stayed in the box for 99% of the time.

The keyboard can be detached and used separately, the controller part has a usual PS2 PAD connector and a USB connector for the keyboard part, the controller part is too wide to be used IMHO, ha ha !

Seriously? I've been waiting for these to drop for like a year. First, they were $70. Then, they were $50. If they're truly down to $20, I know what I'm buying today...

I bought mine almost a year ago at Circuit City for $30 clearance before FFXI came out. You might want to check your Best Buy stores if they still have them in stock.

hey def, weren't you the one using this controller for monster hunter last year, heh

anyways, i saw these controllers at circuit city yesterday for $13

I was! That's how i got to type so fast and shoot my nukes as the gunner :D
$13?!? I better buy a second one now for that price.

I thought it sucked. Mainly because even for a notebook keyboard, it felt small and felt cumbersome to do things on the actual control pad. I wouldn't recommend it myself unless you really want to save space.

I liked it and well since i dont play FFXI anymore it was great for the game. Not too uncomfortable, but i'm sure there are smaller usb qwerty keyboards that clip onto your regular controler. They have them here in the states, they are pretty good too. But if your lazy get this thing.

I really wonder why they didnt just release it Wireless from the get go that would have made it much more comfortatble.
