First there were the matching tattoos, then the public declarations of love and now it seems Lindsay Lohan will marry her lesbian lover.

Just days after DJ Samantha Ronson announced at a gig that Lindsay would be her wife by the end of year, the Mean Girls star is sporting this sparkler on her wedding finger.

And while dad Michael thinks the pair are just seeking fame and attention – which getting married after dating for only a few months obviously proves wrong – mum Dina approves.

She was by Lindsay's side as the actress showed off the heart-shaped jewel at a Marie Claire party.

Why is a marriage a facepalm kind of affair. She's certainly become much healthier, and healthier-looking (and better looking) since she got together with Ronson.

I think there's both homophobia and sexism apparent in this thread. Not direct, not intentional, I'm sure, but it's still there. I could not give a shit about Lindsay's personal life, but it seems like a pretty Hollywood girl can't do this sort of thing without it being 'for attention'. Why is that? Has there been any signs of fraud, of fibbing, in this relationship? Not that I know of. They've been together for a long time, they live and are seen together constantly, they're evidently talking about getting married. Is it impossible that an attractive star is lesbian? Is it less possible than a man, because I can't see any gay Hollywood star being accused of attention-whoring with a fake relationship. And, of course, comments about the other girls looks are there from the outset, both in a jokey matter and half nudging eachother - "No way Lindsay will get together with that girl, I don't find her attractive".

She has been painted by the media as being a lying, attention whore/drama queen maybe? If it were that chick from Juno (who is attractive in her own way) or Christina Ricci (once again attractive in her own way) or anyone else with no real off-camera reputation then no one would have any reason to question it.
