lol... Bubble Bath Babes (NES)... WTF?

Wow. I saw a blurb in this past months EGM about an NES game going for 400 bucks on Ebay called Bubble Bath Babes, so I downloaded the ROM just to see what this insane thing is about.

What the hell? A porno tetris? And here I am, thinking that for the most part, aside from Custer's Revenge, the NES was an era of innocence. Nothing like seeing a pixillated naked woman farting bubbles into a tetris grid to make you wanna SOLVE SOME PUZZLES!!!
:lol

Think. Then type.

My local video store had the holy trilogy of NES games (Bubble Bath Babes, Hot Slots, and Peek-a-Boo Poker) when I was about 12. Once Super Nintendo and Genesis caught on the video stores started selling off the less popular used NES games. I really wanted to buy those three games but seeing as I was only 12 my parents weren't too keen on that idea. Parents are stupid.

Custers Revenge was Atari 2600, pre NES era

yeah because panesian is still a thriving video game company and they are missing out on tons of money by people not buying their enormous supply of retail copies

one of my friends installed this in the school computers once when we were kids. It was basically just tetris with porno pics in the backgrounds, i think it was actually even called "Porn-tris".

You do realise that Bubble Bath Babes is a non licensed pirate game, right?
His ban is already up (a whopping two hours). To be blunt, the phrase "I downloaded the ROM" adds nothing worthwhile to his post and it could have been equally as informative without the admission to piracy.

Not to say this thread isn't entertaining or worthwhile, but when you folks know that piracy is frowned upon in these parts, I find it quite curious how some try to work it into their posts anyways.

Bah, let's turn this into a "what other rare and valuable previous-gen games are out there?" thread instead of "mods vs. forum crusaders debate #4873872." I'm trying to get into collecting and I'd really like to know

What is he supposed to say? He just spent $400 on ebay just to see what the game was? I am glad he was blunt about it, at least he did not have to lie or make up some asinine ban-evasive phrase.

"so I read up on the game..."

Ecerything works perfectly if you change it to that.

How the hell is that the same thing? Reading about a game and playing it are two different thing. Knowing he played it says a hell of a lot more, to me. See that 'lie' is exactly what I am talking about. You try to bend the truth to not get banned. Fuck the ban, tell the truth.

You don't always have to detail how you played a game.

Anyways, belgurdo's right. Steering this thread in that direction, did you folks see that Otocky thread a while back?

A PC game in the same vein is called Sextris. It's the tits. There's like naked people that fall down and you have to put them together in positions in which they can copulate. If I remember correctly it's freeware for computers, a google search can probably locate it for you.

I figured I was rolling the dice with the mentioning of the R-word anyways, so it's not like it was totally unexpected. I just figured that everyone would stop and realize that if one were to say, you know, find alternate means to ascertaining this game, I don't think it should be considered piracy (in the moral form.... not the literal form) as there's absolutely nobody getting fucked or robbed if the game is, you know, ascertained by an alternate, less-pure means. I even looked up Panesian LTD. to see if they were still in business, in which case I would have accepted an even longer ban without gripe (as I would have been fully in the wrong here, and am no fan of pirates myself). However, as it is, I fail to see how what I did can be construed as piracy, and even wonder how I can be banned for mentioning the R-word, when people create posts regularly to ask how to use bit-torrent (uh.. for what, I wonder?) with GAF approval.

I dunno. No harm no foul, though, right? :)
