 Ebay 360 Auction

"Bidders: Kentucky state law limits the resale ticket price for this event location.
This means that bidding will end when the price reaches $80.00. See eBay's ticket policy."

:lol Can't stop laughing :lol

Wtf? Is that true? Kentucky wont let you get over $80 for your merchindise?

Edit:

"Bidders: Kentucky state law limits the resale ticket price for this event location.

Okay, that makes a bit more sense :lol

ticket scalping is technically illegal in most states; therefore you're not allowed to resell your tickets through legitimate channels for greater than face value.

He seems like a nice guy, but it's still hilarious. I'm sure there was some kind of warning before he posted the auction...???

I wonder what the whole after math of this will be.

A. Seller sucks it up and counts his losses to keep his 100% feedback

B. Seller backs out of the deal and gets a negative

C. Buyer lets the guy slide, and Seller eats the listing fee :lol

.... did you look at the final price of the auction?
what exactly is to keep him from not honering it? if that was me, i just wouldn't go through with it, letting the winner know that i wouldn't. who cares about one bad rating anyhow; not to mention, if i got left a negative, you better believe I would leave one on the buyer as well. so i doubt the seller would want to leave a negative just to get a negative himself. (which is the whole problem with ebay's ratings anyhow... people don't leave negative's for fear of getting one themself). i personally won't ever leave a rating till AFTER i get a positive.. just in case i need to drop a revenge negative.

there is no pwning going on here. move along.

:lol
Brilliant. It's probable that the seller is just going to back out of the auction. I couldn't see sucking up that much cost.

err? you can contact eBay when someone gave you a negative feedback for no real reason, if you can proof it eBay will delete that negative feedback.

Since when?

I've gotten 2 negative feedbacks on my 4 year old ebay seller name and they were nothing but pure retaliatory feedbacks when I left bad feedback on the buyer because they didn't pay me for the auction.

Ebay refused to delete the negative feedback even though I had done nothing wrong other than ask for payment and then leave bad feedback when I didn't get it.

do you know how easy that is to circumvent? how exactly is ebay going to determine who should get a negative. people lie... they just say it wasn't what was promised, that it was severely damaged etc... they can't remove a negative that has a legitimate sounding complaint.

I know thats what the policy says but good luck actually getting ebay to follow through with it.

@ above posts: well I never been in that situation, I only knew that policy excists.. but since I have no experience with it I didn't know how easily you could circumvent it, my bad.

He actually got burned because he listed them as tickets alone, if he listed it as a package, there would have been no limit.

:lol :lol What a fucktard.

I'd email the winning bidder, offer the tickets for that price, and give him the option of taking the 360 for retail price + shipping.

Q: This is not some scam auction is it? I'm not bidding on a box am I? If this is for the tickets and the actual xbox 360 then I will bid to buy. Pleas advise. Thanks.

A: no, this is not a scam. You can check my feedback. It is 100% Positives. The Xbox 360 is sitting on my desk. It is a Core System, not a Premium. You can see it in the picture I included. It has never been opened and is still sealed in the box.

:queue $80 bid & ownage :lol

The seller is a moron for maybe 100 different reasons, the obvious being he probably didn't bother to read the disclamer stating the state law.

The next being what a stupid package to begin with. Only people who can use the tickets would most likely bother with bidding, so he's limiting potential buyers of the 360.

He most likely wont follow through with it, unless he's some real honest guy or something.

I was gonna say, he'd be an idiot to not back out. Sure it sucks but I would take some negative feedback for what, $500 profit?

Auction contracts are enforceable in state and federal court. I would go to court ASAP and get an injuction to stop him from selling or using either item and then sue his ass to fulfill the terms of the auction... But then again, I am an asshole.

I've had ebay remove negative feedback before, so it's not unheard of.

eBay can only remove negative feedback if there is profanity, personal information shown, or links to outside sites (or javascript). Also, they'll remove it if someone files an Unpaid Item Dispute and the buyer doesn't respond to that (in which case, any buyer feedback is removed).

I don't see much reason any negative feedback for the seller could be removed, unless it contains what I mentioned above.

No ownage, but the potential was high :)

In the buyer's feedback: Auction ended in error. Buyer was very understanding, An honest Ebayer A+
