I just got into it with my mom, but when I'm really angry, I don't yell and scream; I talk, in a calm, mature manner that makes YOU look stupid and foolish for losing it. I then proceed to call my mom "evil" for not letting me do something, and I stay boiling mad for maybe 2 hours, then I'm over it. :lol
Just a few minutes ago, my brother got into a really heated argument with my dad. I caught the tail-end of it and it has something to do with him being on the phone all day and not walking the dog or something like that. Anyway, it ended with the interjection of my mom explaining to him that since he always walks the dog, my dad pretty much EXPECTS him to do it every night, or at least tell him in advance when he isn't able to. My brother sees it as a priority...something not to his liking.
It ends like this (dad's gone to where ever he was going and my brother and mom finish it out):
Brother: "Then you tell dad that I'm not walking the dog anymore! YOU can walk him! I'm not doing it anymore." (more or less)
[walks off]
[few seconds go by]
Mom: "Since you think you're telling people what they can and can't do, then you WALK your ass to work! Don't use none of the cars, then!"
Brother: "I don't care...I just won't go to work then! You think I care about that?!"
Mom: "Hey, it's your job. I don't care about you getting fired."
My brother goes to work at 3 p.m. (which is roughly an hour and 15 minutes from now, so it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out
). I hope he understands that HE'LL GET FIRED if he doesn't make amends and swallow his pride. I do it all the time. I'm always like, "OK...is this REALLY worth it?" With my brother, it's a totally different story.
