God, I hate this whole subgenre. Hopefully it will bomb and PSP developers will get the message.

"Keep your monster collecting crap on the DS where it will sell millions?"

i dunno, looks like an actual game to me, whatever its creepy furry/tamagochi underpinnings. sony's answer to nintendogs is probably the psp's file interface, or maybe the firmware update program.

It's not where it is, as much as I don't want developers that I like sucked into making this crap. More "who" than "where." SCEA-SM for one.

Neopets: The Darkest Faerie was supposed to come out for PSX I remember seeing it on release lists...

Yuck! I've always hated neopets they're so generic and lameeee. How can an originally web-based POKĂ©/Digi/Monster Rancher/Tamagotchi knockoff made by some kid actually become real??! And they say making cash off the web is dead >.>

Uhmm...don't remembner hearing of this game before. I guess it could sell well for PSP standards. It's a good thing about Sony that they always have a response in terms of competition but there hardly is anything consistent in the process. It's funny how even when they willingly don't profit, their attitude is completely business driven.

What, exactly, is this "Neopets" thing? I've heard about it before, but never bothered to try to learn about it. Based on every reference to it I've ever seen, it sounds like the sort of game played by teenage girls in middle school.

SCEA Santa Monica is becoming a magnet property for SCEA. I'm sure actual coding is being done by NobodyTech in Wyoming, there's just a junior producer at SCEA managing the project.
