It's hard to find a decent pair of plain cargos these days. Most of them have useless pockets or stuff hanging out all over the place. Sometimes you'll get lucky though. I usually check out Randy River for stuff like that. Not sure if you've got them in your area or anything though.

I don't know what the deal with cargo pants is. For a while they were just making them normal, but now they're doing all this lame drawstring crap. Who the hell wanted drawstrings on the ankles (much less the waist)?

old navy is crap. Their clothes is so cheaply made, it'll probably fall apart after one washing. And Dickies aren't expensive at all. Try and find one of those army surplus stores, or workwear specialty stores and you can get a pair for like $19.99.

The point is that I'm not going to pay much for ultra-casual wear. I just want something cheap that looks decent, holds up, and lets me put a bunch of shit in the pockets. Forty or fifty bucks for a pair of cotton or cotton-blend pants that I can't wear in even a semi-professional setting is just not worth it.

I've been spoiled by $20 cargoes at the Gap Outlet.....only it looks like the supply has now been cut off (or replaced with stupid drawstring bullshit). Carpenter pants are also becoming harder to come by.

I wear Dickies mainly because they're cheap. I don't have a lot of care about fashion, I'm all about comfort. Dickies are comfortable and cheap. Shit, I think I got two pairs of them at Wal-Mart. $16 a pair or something. Beats the fuck out of $40 jeans.

I got some awesome olive green Levi cargo pants. They were like $25 on sale. They don't have any useless pockets and fit great.
