It was called "All aboard the Freedom Train", and it featured Will Ferrell as Neil Diamond and The Rock as Bigfoot. I saw it once when it aired, and I've not seen it since. Does anyone know if it's been released anywhere, or do you know where I can find it?

Thanks in advance.

Eh, if it didn't involve Will Ferrel acting as Harry Carey, it can never be considered the "funniest SNL skitch". Also, no, I do not have that clip. :D

There's a 70s sketch that's a parody of Dragbet that had me ROTF. Basically the 2 cops woul dbust into someone's house and rough them up/shoot them up before asking any questions. The funniest part is when they're shooting the guy and saying "stop or I'll shoot."

For recent sketches you have Celebrity Jeopardy and Jinglehimer Junction, where the 4 people on the kids show have letters on them "F" "U" "K" and "C" and they're constantly trying to rearrange themselves to spell out a certain 4 letter word with Tim Meadows going crazy to try and stop them.

Some of my favorites of all time are Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze as Chippendale dancers, the "lost" Star Wars auditions and an old one with Joe Montana as the honest roommate ("I think I'll go upstairs and masterbate now").

I also liked the one with Alec Baldwin...

Shweaty Balls

"Ladies, act now, and when you order, you'll also get my shweaty ball sack"

Oh man that had me rollin....

Thanks for digging that clip up .. I forgot how good that Walter Mattheau bit was.

Another one of my favorites was when Dana Carvey was cplaying his "Chopping Broccoli" character, and music producers were convincing him to kill himself so his sales would go through the roof (They had bar charts showing sales of John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix to illustrate how many more albums they sold). I loved that character.

One of my favorites was the one where Norm Macdonald was the leader of some gang called the Cobras (or the Panthers or something), who eventually get into a brawl with another gang (I think the Panthers). The gangs keep spontaneously breaking out into song and dance like you'd see in some stupid 50s musical, but it keeps freakin Norm out. :lol The look on his face after the first song is over, "............................what the hell was that?" :lol

I unfortunally dont know many SNL sketches, but one I remember and like very much is that sketch with Jim Carrey and that "What is love" song which is related to "A night at the Roxbury".
/me likes stupid humour. :(

This is more obscure....

but does anyone remember the skit with Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri as a morning talk show, the teleprompter goes down, and they begin to live like lord of the flies on the set? I would so love to see that skit again, it was bizarre and hilarious.

I have it on tape, but I don't have means of capturing it.

Could it be captured to DV tape with a a digital camcorder? Kind of a reversal of the process I used to put my film onto VHS? I could get it on the net from there.

And you have good taste; it is a very funny sketch.

If you ever find me sleeping in the back of your car, just let me sleep. Maybe buy me a an Egg McMuffin; I'm good for it, ya lousy douchbag, especially if this album's real.

I remember that one. David Alan Grier was the the guest host.

"I smell fear on you."

the absolute funniest SNL sketch ever....

they're doing like this commercial for some penis enhancing product, and as this guy is reading his lines throughout each take they keep insinuating more and more that he has a tiny cock. its so funny because of how it gets more and more insulting each time... rofl

"Oh Canteen Boy!"
AdSa-Canteen%20Boy.jpg

The one with Alec Baldwin is classic.

And Sean Connery on Celebrity Jeopardy is amazing.

As is the decaf coffee skit with Chris Farley.

Guest host Julianna Margulies. Turned out to be a Tootsie Roll commercial.

"He's got big-time nerf in his shorts."

That's my absolute FAVOURITE SNL skit ever. I think it's on the Will Ferrel vol 2 DVD but I'm not sure.

My second fav is an obscure one with Tim Meadows as "John-John Mackey, the badass weatherman" which I loved. Especially because my name sounds really close to John Mackey so all my friends called me John-John Mackey for a few years, constantly saying how I call hurricanes "my bitch".

"When I see the storm front comin', I'm all 'What's up, bitch?'

And the storm is like, 'Nothing much, sir'

'Yeah that's right, bitch. Now go make me a sandwhich'"

When the storm leaves it's house, John-John bangs it's wife.

Matt Foley, Chris Farley on a Japanese Gameshow, Schmitt's Gay Beer, actually almost anything with Chris Farley in it. Also the TV Funhouse stuff was great (ambiguously gay duo. X-presidents, george clooney speed racer parody, the fun with real audios)

You might qualify for saint hood if you did that. Just might.....

'I just took a mega-dose of donkey laxatives and tranquilizers!" - Classic!

One of my favorites came at the tail end of a Walken episode, I think in 2000. Tim Meadows was a census worker, and he came to Christopher Walken's apartment to collect his information, and Walken just plays this weird guy (big shocker).

TM: "Do you work full or part time?"
CW: "I guess I'd say part time. There are huge stretches of time where all I do is sleep."

Turns out he's married to a bobcat or something. It was very funny.

:lol That one's hilarious...I saw it a couple weeks ago.

"Just you and the wife live here?"

"Well, we have some candy bars."*

rough paraphrase, didn't get the whole thing on tape.

It's on the "Best of Christopher Walken" episode that aired recently...and was indeed absolutely hysterical. He is a GOD.

I love that sketch. I only saw it once, when it first aired, but I really want to see it again. Is it on the Christopher Walken DVD?

The BEST SNL sketch though has got to be Dan Aykroyd as Fred Garvin, Male Prostitute. Fucking hilarious.

78ofredgarvin1.jpg

Fred: Ma'am, you're dealing here with a fully qualified male strumpet. I service the entire quad cities area - Moline, Rock Island, Davenport and Bettendorf. Why don't you give it a whirl? What have you got to lose?

Mrs. Potter:Hey, uh..

Fred: Hey is for horses, young lady. No ifs, ands or buts about it - you're spending the night with Fred Garvin, Male Prostitute.

[ Fred stares at the camera as the title card appears ]

Well, now, I have a work order here which specifies that I am to roger you roundly 'til 6:15 tomorrow morning.

Da Bears from the 80s was a great sketch, especially the first one, and the ones when Chris Farley's character would have several heart attacks during the scene.

There was one that was supposed to be a commerical, and these people were singing "happy birthday" at a party then they got all depressed and stopped, and the commercial went on to advertise a new birthday song that won't bring the party down. Then Jack Black started quietly singing this song, then all these guitars started wailing and druids were singing backup and he had to fight the birthday wizard and all these toy babies were hanging down on strings and it went on for about five minutes. Then at the end it advertised the prices of the druid outfits, the sword, fake babies, wizard outfit and so on. It was quite hilarious.

The Will Ferrell as Neil Diamond stuff is absolutely classic. IMO, the best Will Ferrell stuff (with a nod to cowbell, although that's more Christopher Walken). Unfortunately, it's not on the DVD's, I don't know why they didn't use them.

Ahahahaha! I remember that skit. I love Walken so much. :lol

And he was motherfucking incredible in The Deer Hunter. One of Hollywood's best actors -- if not *the* best.

Not really the funniest...but it's funny you mention SNL since this morning in the shower I yelped out a random, "THE MOOOLECUUULAAAR MAAAN!".
