I've had an xbox since launch and since then I've only bought like 8 games, Halo 1+2 Ninja Gaiden, Shenmue 2. Soul Calibur 2, Marvel VS Capcom 2, Bloodwake and Mechassault.

Now I've got my tax return (oh boy did I over pay ) and now I have a load of cash to blow on games.

I'm looking for games that are challanging and are fun without Xbox live (For some reason I'm unable to connect)

I'm looking to get:

DOA3
GunValkyrie
MechAssault 2
Steel Battalion (Friend is selling with controller and everything for 90$CAD)

any impressions on those?

Any suggestions?

Deathrow!! , it's very cheap.. and I've been playing it exclusively the last couple of days.. great fun. Hope it will get a sequel (very unlikely though..)

DOA3 is fun and priced cheap, but DOA Ultimate is the better game.


I'd also recommend Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (hits next week) and Metal Slug 3. Also Otogi 1/2, Fatal Frame 1/2 OutRun 2 and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

Jet Set Radio Future

I've never seen the game outside of a Xbox game bundle, is it hard to find? I loved the dreamcast version.

As for Mercenaries is there a difference between the Xbox version and PS2 version?


Panzer Dragoon Orta is it a short game? I used to play the Saturn Panzer Dragoon and it was very short (from what I remember)

Yeah; your best bet is to go for the bundle. You can probably find a copy for $2~3.00.

Games I picked up the last 2 months and have enjoyed allot.

Fable
BattleStar Galactica
Malice,its short..about 5-7 hours,for me anyways. But none the less a fun platformer with some nice eye candy visuals to go along with the ride.

Most are cheap except Fable, which still sells for $30-45 depending on where you look. I bought mine for30 and its been well worth it. But anyway wait abit more and it should be 20 dollars soon. Its nearing 1,000,000 sold,so it'll be a GH game so waiting abit more can't hurt.

Try Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders. It's quite a fine game, and inexpensive, too.

You need Panzer Dragoon Orta-- that one isn't debatable. DOA3 is a personal favorite 3D fighter of mine, but that falls under the love/hate category. Otogi 1 and 2 are nice action/adventure games (Otogi 2 is a big improvement in almost every category). Jet Set Radio Future doesn't hold a candle to the original gameplay wise, but it's a fun game from start to finish-- VERY nice graphics and music. GunValkyrie is an acquired taste that 90% of people hate-- you probably won't enjoy it until you're very, very good at it. I recommend at least trying it out.

I'm looking to buy Panzer Dragoon but my local game shops are all sold out and I hate the crappy platinum covers.
