Is there any way to manually pick out the post proccessing options? Hate it when games just give you an option for it and not seperate options for what it could cover.
What platform you have?

Huh? I killed the last boss in one try... and I was using a "rogue", supposedly the hard mode.

I tried the game for 30 minutes or so yesterday, using the warrior item preset.
I liked the graphics a lot and the tactical combat has obvious similarities to Dark Souls (a good thing), but ... Moving around felt quite clunky, especially when fighting against the first boss. Do you have to use the rogue items to get the Dark Souls dodge:y moveset? Or is the combat generally slower than Dark Souls, irrespective of what character you choose?

It has a very similar weight mechanic to the Souls games. With stats at the start of the game, the rogue gear gives you full speed, the cleric gear gives you half speed, and the warrior gear gives you the slowest speed. Naturally as you progress through the game you can put points in to increase how much you weight you can bear. Where I got to, half way throughish I could wear heavy armour and still have the medium roll.

Just get rid of your armor; your movement and running speed is great that way. I wouldn't recommend relying on rolling because enemies have instant startup, large body hitboxes and a lot of active frames--it is the case with DkS2's as well but more severe. Instead of rolling, try running in and out of an enemy's range of attacks; it worked well against the first boss.
Amazon has for 39.99 right now, Best Buy would not price match.
Just when I forget why I stopped shopping there.
I just completed the 2nd boss fight, it seems rolling is pointless either I am getting hit or they are they are in a defense state before I recover. I am also seeing some glitches especially with the audio. Another thing that's annoying is my strikes are sometimes not registering, this can be frustrating against boss fights, they are already hard to hit as is. With all the negativity in my post I am still enjoying the game so far had to get use to the dark souls controls...been playing a lot of fps lately.
Never known people found rolling useless, I use it all the time, especially the roll lunge, against most bosses I found the most effective strategy to be to roll under their swings to get behind and hit with with one or two light attack then roll back out. I have started blocking more now than I used to, but I find it most effective to combine them for different situations. I use medium armour and shield/axe or hammer by the way.
Actually the second boss might be the only one where I found it easier to just circle strafe instead of roll, but then again I found that boss the easiest/most predictable in the game.
Not even close.I have this on the way, just curious, what's the difficulty like for this?? is it as hard as the souls games??

NG is pretty easy though the first few bosses might give you some trouble as you're still a bit weak and learning the ropes. Game takes a somewhat diferent approach than Souls as the roll is not that usefull. Better to just hang back and wait for openings.
NG+ is easy as well cos you can kick ass with all your OP gear. Some serious spikes in dificulty near the later parts of the game though. Last boss is a bit of an SOB now.
NG++ however is just damn annoying as every enemy seems to have his health multiplied by 10 and bosses take forever the kill. The final boss is a serious challenge now !
Been playing it since tuesday on XB1....
I'm enjoying it but I'm having my ass kicked by those shielded enemies after the second boss. I cant get behind them to manage a hit...
A little question. I remember that in the beggining of the game I had three health potions and now I only have two.. what did I do to decrease the number of potions I'm allowed to have? And how to increase this?
there's also these health shards that says to temporarily increase the health generation... i ate two and nothing happened. What does it do?
And I also entered a portal and there were a lot of enemies in a foggy place. I died there and have no intentions of going back... should I?
Any leveling tips? I am warrior so I am rotating strength, vitality and agi... 1 strength 1 vita 1 strength 1 agi and so on.

You probably gave the potion to that priest (the one you cut his arm). Some NPCs ask you for medicine (= ask you to get a potion). You can get more potions looting chest on some areas (like the foggy area you said).
Those portal areas are optional...for challenges and loot. For leveling, I personally just alternated between strength and endurance the whole time. Since weapon swinging can be incredibly slow, I wanted each hit to count. (Also played a warrior)
As far as the potions go, in addition to what Ferr said about giving one away, sometimes they don't refill all the way until you die (at least on PC). So if you have 10, and you use 5 of them, sometimes going to a checkpoint will only refill you up to 7 or so. You won't get your full 10 back until you die.
As this only sometimes happens, I'm not sure if it's a glitch or what.
oh, yeah, thats intentional. In a checkpoint you'll see small crystals floating around the big one, thats the nº of potions recovered after hitting the checkpoint. It increases with time though, so the longer has passed until you used that checkpoint, the more potions you'll be able to refill.
They have a cap too, I think. Meaning that some checkpoints will only refill a max. number of potions.
Don't worry, you get plenty more empty bottles later. In this case, saving his life will reward you later.SHIT!!!
I thought i was only ginving him the use of the flask and not the flask itself.
That SOB!!!!

Just started playing this last night after buying on Steam's Fall sale. I'm in the same boat.
So far, it's exactly what I wanted - a slightly more forgiving Dark Souls.
I gave a potion to the monk as well and rolling with only two potions is pretty damn hard, but again, it's slightly more forgiving than Dark Souls.
I really love the armor sets and weapons. Looks gorgeous.
How should I spec if I want to roll with a staff? I am a Str, Vit, End Warrior right now, but that doesn't scale with staffs, and getting those multi-hit combos with the staff was the most satisfying combat in the game so far.
They've been sayin on twitter that the console patch is coming soon......for weeks now. I stopped playing halfway through in anticipation of this patch, and now I'm wishing I had just finished it back then...Thinking about buying it for XB1 in todays sale. Its 35 dollars and the game sounds pretty fun.
Heard its really buggy though. Was that fixed?
Edit:
Nevermind. It seems a patch never arrived to console versions. I'll skip this game then.

I'm thinking of picking this up sometime around or after Christmas for PS4. Is it worth it? I've never really gotten into Dark Souls so I won't be able to compare. I've played DS but not enough to form a real opinion on it. Does the LotF have replayability?
NICE!!!!Console patch is out!

Sadly I don't see any notes on improving the lock-on mechanics. Maybe next time...
